The vocals for the 2 Become 1 chorus are a bit weird - Emma and Geri sing the main bit, Melanie C and Victoria do the 'wanna make love to ya' bits, and Melanie B warbles and does the 'set your spirit free'. That's sort of why Emma is so prominent in the song. But yes, Geri doesn't know how to blend.

It’s my favourite of their triumvirate of festive singles. Although I accept 2 Become 1 is more credible.

Goodbye, sadly, will always be marred by the fact that it’s one of their few four-piece singles. It’s a bit weird to think now that Geri would be involved in promoting a song that was marketed as a tribute to her departure.

She did sing it with the rest of the girls during The Return of the Spice Girls Tour and I found it WRONG.

I do feel sorry for Geri. She didn't have much of a voice in the early days, but I sort of liked her husky, bolshy tone in the Spice days. After having her nodules removed, suddenly she can 'hit' notes that she couldn't before, so she sings much more earnestly, but its a pretty excrutiating experience.

I always found the fact Geri not being able to BLEND a bit AMAZING, I've always wondered WHY there's no evidence of her audition anywhere online unlike the other girls.

I Was mesmerized at an early age by her powerful VOX in this performances particularly, clearly TOO strong and powerful to blend at the 1.15 mark



and she was obviously RESTRAINING herself in this one, her mouth is moving yet no sound is made, what a kind soul avoiding to upstage the rest of the girls
