SPICEWORLD25

A 25th Anniversary Edition of the album unfortunately, :( similar to what they did last year, but hopefully an improvement in regards to content, design, and formats .

A tour announcement wouldn't go amiss though!

Oh that’s quite disappointing. They were meant to be doing a Tour for their 25th anniversary,no? Was that’s scuppered because of covid?

Wasn’t the Spice 25 anniversary just a big ol’ nothing? I would expect the same.

Anyway, except for Step To Me, we haven't had a single Spiceworld demo so far so I'm expecting a handful of those as well as the Themis Latino mix of Viva Forever, the rumored Morales remix of NGUOTGT, and maybe an unreleased song + Step to Me and that's it. :meh:

Universal Music Malaysia has leaked details on this by accident but still not artwork yet.

Exclusive Vinyl - The first LP contains the original ten song album, whilst the second album contains a selection of live recordings, some previously unreleased.

Exclusive Colour Vinyl - The original ten song album, available in coloured vinyl for the very first time.

Picture Disc - The original ten song album, available in picture disc format for the very first time.

CD & Hardback Book - Set is in A5 hardback booklet packaging, with a collection of iconic images of the quintet plus a brand new message from the Girls. This is housed in a slipcase, reproducing the same format that was so successful for our 25th anniversary edition of the debut album ‘Spice’, and will encourage fans to collect the set.

"live recordings, some previously unreleased" doesn't sound too promising, especially since they were mostly TERRIBLE live. No word on Step To Me or other unreleased tracks yet :(

More reissue shrinkflation. Just stuff off the Instabul live video and maybe a couple of soundboards? No ta.

I never know what Spice Girls fans actually want from these reissues. what do you think exists and is being held hostage in the vaults? :D they recorded like 12 songs per album and almost all of them made it onto the records.

20 at the very least! Regarding the quality of those cast offs, I've no comment!

Writing, recording, and production during SPICEWORLD must have been pretty tight considering they ran out of b-sides by the time Stop was released resorting to live performances from Istanbul and Birmingham concerts I don't think we're missing out much on stuff like Are You My Friend? or Seven Days.

IF at least they include some previously unreleased Birmingham live songs (The live album does exist and remains in the vault) as well as unreleased remixes and demos (just to round it up nicely) I think some fans would think twice. Currently, this project just screams quick cash in without any thought put into it which is very on brand with the band.

I agree - there IS stuff, but they're just not sharing it.

We'll get Spice Invaders AND Ain't No Stopping Us Now (Live) and we will deal.

There are even extended mixes from album tracks that I wouldn't complain if we got them as a bonus.

Silver lining though, no sign of that GOD AWFUL Stretch and Vern "remix" of Stop, I remember being baffled as a kid when I first listened to it.

Ok but I'm a bit excited for an unreleased Viva Forever remix

Also I won't repeat my meltdowns from the Spice 25 thread but the Australian pricing for this is, again, outrageous

The 25th anniversary of Schizophonic (just 2 years to go!) had better throw up more chunks of brilliance than what I'm seeing here that's for sure. @Halli dyouknowhattamean?

And who wants to hear their rowdy Gala Bingo goers live vocals? There must be heaps of alternate takes if not actual outtakes. Unacceptable and yes I will he buying and can't wait.

Fun for fans iMovie version of Spice Up Your Life

I don't know the original video THAT well but on first glance this seems to have a fair bit of new footage?

I think it's the best thing to come out of this whole 25th anniversary shite

There's no way Emma's face at 0:57 made it into the proper video :D
