I guess I'm never going to know who the chap in the black mask is (Beyoncé? Kylie? Tony Blair?) or why the pink chaps are dressed up like Playstation controllers.
 
Finished (it’s not a binge watch, is it). The addition of the VIPs felt unnecessary. I was holding out for Jun-Ho to pop up at the end.
 
Yep - they were just super naff (and the purpose of the game could still have been explained, as it was at the end, without their inclusion). It felt like the awful dubbing had been turned back on.
 
I've just watched this, finished it in 2 days. Weirdest program ever but so addictive!
 
See the doctor who was in the game. Did he have a backstory shown outside of the game? He just seemed to pop up in episode 3 and was given quite a meaningful part for no reason.

I think he was just a CONSTRUCT to show that the inner workings of the GAME were rotten and corrupt to their CORE!

If you think about it deeply enough, it could be a bit like Aaron Samuels in MEAN GIRLS too :shock:

Yes, when that bit came in I was all ‘OH THEY ARE BRINGING IT DOWN FROM THE INSIDE YAAAS’ but instead they were just selling eyeballs :(

A week to go! I’ll be watching, and I'm guessing it will be a hit numbers-wise but will it be any good…?
 
Season 2 is out, and so far the most disturbing thing has been the carnival parade. I'll be having NIGHTMARES about the pig
 
I will watch this, but my watch list is just too damn long. Plus I need to watch the season 1 finale again because the platforms now taking too fucking long between seasons.
 
Well, that was a reasonably good half season, the latter episodes especially, but they shouldn't have bothered releasing these and waited until so called season 3 was finished.
 
I binged all the episodes in S2, only realising with 23 minutes of episode 7 left that nothing was going to be resolved and I'd have to wait until next year to get some answers. I was furious about it.

Yeah I only found out it was a half series yesterday
 
Third and final series due later this year. Once it got going I really enjoyed it.

Some of conversations are so simplistic I can’t believe it’s actually like that in Korean.

I think this was mentioned on the recent Squid Game episode of The Rest Is Entertainment. Apparently there are nuances not being picked up.
 
I liked the final season, very entertaining and a nice ending. One thing that I didn’t quite understand though was:

what was the deal with the woman looking for her daughter? Maybe I forgot something from the second season. That storyline seemed a bit irrelevant.

Also

Cate Blanchett? An American spin-off? Sounds disastrous.
