I thought we might get another What The Future Holds remix (or acoustic version) before a new song. I'm hoping they don't let us breathe and deliver another frantic uptempo. Now is not the time for a Claire Richards mandated ballad, that can keep.
 
Kate missing a trick not getting Faye to unpack that casting couch statement. I wonder if Lee's skype window just went black.
 
Lisa talking about wanting to go out a lot ("normally to a gay bar, which is what I normally do" - can't think why, she'd be mobbed all night!) does make me recall how I think on the Reunion TV show she and Faye said they used to go out together and Claire Claire never wanted to join them.
 
So were there actual real Faye coke addict rumours or just moopy fan fiction? Faye's rambling ambiguously about regrets. Can the skype viewers conform if she's itching her nose a lot at this part?
 
Like her attitude towards gateae, Claire is doubling down on her decision to leave the band. Complete silence from the others. Don't interrupt her Kate!
 
Kate interviewing them a few times for Electric Circus back in the day sure is giving her delusions of 6th member grandeur.

I’d certainly not let go of it. LSL UP! Just imagine the scenes at the time. “See you in Chicago, girls! Enjoy the caravan, girls! Sorry girls, flying with BRITNEY in her PRIVATE JET!”
 
I’m sure this has already been said but it does give me great joy that all of them now realise and accept (more or less) that Joe Public isn’t interested in any one of them if the others aren’t in tow. This happens so very rarely
 
I’m sure it’s not pleasant for them on a personal level, but would we really want a Faye solo album? No!

YES!

As much as I love LSL, someone with a bit more talent and palatable voice would’ve made a great Rachel Stevens esque pop/dance queen. Faye doing the Come and Get It or State of Mind albums would’ve been marvellous

I'm thinking Angel City or the dancier Elin Lanto offerings.
 
She really messed up not taking advantage of the glut of slut dance pop of the early 00s. Sadly this era is more of a ?? for her. "Sacheting" it away (that's a sachets of coke joke).
 
I remember thinking the Faye solo section on the Greatest Hits tour was a bit telling. Lisa and Claire went all-out, whereas she just did a fairly tepid run through One Night Only from Dreamgirls.

She's very charming and charismatic in the context of Steps, but I don't think she has the VISION or the HUNGER for any kind of solo stardom.

I think she is probably quite satisfied with her stage stuff in the downtime, especially post-Strictly with better gigs likely available.

Listening to the Kate Thornton interview now. Lee comes off just a bit humourless doesn't he?

New single getting a Radio 2 premiere next week, followed by a release the same day.

It had better be Something In Your Eyes this time, and not some boring old wank to appease Claire (and probably H too, let's be honest).
 
It definitely won’t be another mid tempo

Especially after the last one
 
Yeah Faye confirmed the next single is a banger, and given the track length is on iTunes etc I’d say it’s 99% likely that we are getting Something In Your Eyes.
 
Now I've loved this the whole time, but the final minute of this song really has clicked even moreso with me.

Just when you have the rush of what you think is the final chorus it comes back around again, but this time with those layered 'ha-ha-HAAAA' backing vocals on each line that just make it :disco:

And THEN Faye decides she will have a solo bash at the chorus before the foghorn comes in more more time to finish.

Utterly fabulous.
