Storm Saturday

I’ve just had the best day’s charity shopping I think I’ve ever had, in which Mr Sheena found a brand (with tags on) new Ted Baker jacket for £30, I found a charity shop I never knew existed and which gave me 10 vinyl LPs for £20, including some great Motown ones which are worth a lot more, also found four Everything But The Girl deluxe reissue CDs for £1 each when they go for between £30-£50 apiece on Discogs, a 50p Darren Hayes deluxe edition that goes for £20, some lovely antique sherry glasses, some gorgeous Paul Smith trousers for £3, the Bosh vegan book I don’t have in brand new condition for 50p and, perhaps most importantly, the cd single of Sonia’s End of the World for 25p.

I’m exhausted :D

Basically, am I being a dick?

(this is not a poll)

I wonder if they are just doing it out of some sense of trying to protect you?

Even so though, you're entitled to make your own decision, regardless of whether they agree with it or not.

Bonsoir from FRANCE where there is no storm but plenty of wine.

DO IT!!! You have finally got some time to yourself. Enjoy it.

I didn't. I cleaned the bitchcave instead, re-hung the strings of fairy-elephant lights and other assorted tat then lay on the bed in the light of the fairy lights and lava lamp singing along to Muse songs. But I'm cracking the alcohol open NOW! :D

Sorry to bump this thread.

I spoke with my friends, and after initially saying yes they would cover it one of them has now come back to say she’s not doing it anymore because she doesn’t like how I’ve spoken to her. All I said is that I was sad at the way she had spoken to me and that I felt she should apologise. But it’s all gone a bit tits up and we are NO LONGER FRIENDS because she didn’t appreciate an ultimatum :)

Another reason people should never get married

Tell her she's now uninvited, fickle bint.

I feel fucking awful about all of this because it really puts my friend who is getting married in a horrible situation. I know she doesn’t approve of my relationship with the giant either, so I’m fully expecting to be uninvited as well :D

But it isn't up to your friends to approve or disapprove of your relationships! Friends are supposed to put up with not-right boyfriends and be there to console you and say "I told you he was a bad 'un" when it all goes tits up later. I hope she doesn't uninvite you.
