Strictly 2023 (1 Viewer)

Intro spin a good way to keep doing the leg raise, but I think a bit more aplomb was required given the thump and thunder of the song. I did like it though.

The teeth on Nigel's partner when flashing that fixed smile is definitely giving me Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986).

You really would miss Vito having his hands on you after the contest finished. And I'm not even that into him personality-wise.

For a celeb Ellie did a fantastic job. I was slightly distracted when Vito's shirt seemed like it was going to fall off.

She was always going to dip a bit with the scores this week, and I don't think it will do her any harm.

Very pleased that Angela and Carlos had a good week.

Expecting big things from Layton and Nikita's AT.

Hmm, two weeks in a row the song has not fitted the dance for Layton.

It wasn't quite as good as I was expecting. I feel they are making a bigger moment out of it than it was. I wasn't wild about the side by side bit at the beginning.

I thought Layton and Nikita were MAGNIFICENT. One of the all-time best Strictly dances, and such a relief Dave's band didn't fuck up Loreen

I did think I spotted a small mistake (Layton moved his arm and then put it back coming out of one of the holds) and I wonder if that's why our Craig gave it a 9

I don't know what relation to Andrea Bocelli that unfortunate sullen child 'singing' in her communion dress was, but it was fucking awful.

LOVELY dancing from the Giovanni and Dianne though. And I LOVED the opening pro dance too, although I do think the BBC should sneak a same sex couple into the Remembrance Sunday dance one year and cue a bubbling hot gammon meltdown

She's his daughter. Not the maturest of voices but with as she gets older she'll be a force.

I'd have saved Krish over Angela in the dance off.

OOH our first contrary Shirley dance off decision of the series.

Krishnan's speech was really lovely. He has been brilliant even if he was probably right that this was the time to bow out. Lauren did a great job... to be fair this week she realised the jig was up and just danced all out around him. I'd like to see what she can do with a contender next year.

Bobby managed the Jive much better than I expected. Still counting out loud slightly distractingly though.

They clearly don't care about keeping Angela around post-Blackpool going on second again and with those scores.

Yeah I'm with Craig - I liked it but it was a bit scrappy, and not as in synch as it should be. They've done much better

Annabel dancing the American Smooth when Angela just did it? Not often you get two of the same on one show, especially in Blackpool week. Have they run out of Ballroom dances to give Angela?

She hasn't done the ballroom Tango but I don't think that would suit her particularly.

That style of AS was smartly chosen to suit Annabel rather than a showier dance.

Ellie was chucked all over the place there. They were great, even if I preferred a couple of their other routines.

Vito and Ellie are such a joy. Give them the trophy, lads

I always hate the extra dancers for Blackpool (GO AWAY, YOU'RE MAKING THE SCREEN LOOK MESSY) but the one and only time I've found them justified is helping with the more complex lifts as we've seen tonight with Ellie and Annabel
