Yeah, I kind of figured that as bits like "it's been 84 years" would obviously land in a less manic condensed snippet etc.
 
I think Lewis looked tense in that. Such a shame to see him go. He was quite exciting to watch and I'm convinced GB just aren't any good at voting correctly anymore (Brexit and now this). Hope no one gets melodramatic though..
 
Yes, thst Titanique performance was a poor choice. Absolutely failed to sell it to me.
 
Certain quarters seem to be outraged at Amber, with her unfair dance background and prior performance experience sending home Lewis, which is an interesting angle to be taking in this instance :D

I'll bet a lot of those complaining haven't bothered when it has happened multiple times before and it wasn't a straight white man who has been wronged in a popularity contest.
 
I've seen anger thrown at EVERYONE so far. Evil Amber for having experience that poor brave amateur Lewis very clearly did not. Evil Balvinder for not just volunteering for the dance off again. Evil George for having an internet following. Evil Balvinder and Evil George for having birthday cake and possibly stealing votes with WHIMSY. Evil judges for giving everyone the same score.

Honestly if anyone had any right to be aggrieved, it's poor old Amber dancing off after a perfect score in her very favourite week!

I'm also not sure why there is surprise. There is plenty of history in previous seasons of more experienced contestants being ignored in favour of the novices, it's almost standard practice.

But at the same time it exposes that their camp definitely thought they had the series in the bag, which was at best naive, and at worst perhaps a little entitled.

I don't think I've ever seen a pro as distraught as she was.

Plus of course if the public picked up on it, it could make them unappealing to some voters, and lead to complacency in others.
 
Actually what is Lewis famous for? I assumed he was on Hollyoaks for some reason, is he an actor?

I don't think they thought they had the win locked down (and Katya has been with the show long enough to know the 'best' dancers don't win more often than not) but they probably felt pretty well set for making the final.

Katya did seem to have taken it particularly badly, much more so than Lewis, or he was able to plaster a smile on at least.
 




I don't think there should be a CC in the semi final and there shouldn't be double ballroom (or Latin) skips either.

The ITT Tess and Claud special tonight was quite nice.

Lewis might still just be more grateful that fate even allowed him to compete at all.



This week's dance choices are unusual. Bal and Karen being given the exact same two feels deliberate, and whichever of the two is weaker will be judged much more harshly. George having two high energy routines in one show feels destined for the second to fail.

I could very easily see a scenario where the public vote and the judges marks are perfect reverse mirrors of each other, and they all tie the scoreboard.

And I'm hoping the fact that this is such a TERRIBLY BASIC BORING LAZY PREDICTABLE list also means it's actually bullshit that's just been made up by an unimaginative intern wanting to sound credible.

Holden just feels like a "can we clone Tess"

They're setting themselves up for failure if they just aim for a lesser version of Tess or Claudia. For the same reason, Alex Jones and Holly would be poor choices. Go for something new. Carr is probably the strongest candidate there. I could see Walsh working on the floor maybe, but not the auditorium and I doubt he'd be a Moopy fave either way.
