Jesus, just hearing Weeds now. Their sombre ethereal ascension is gorge. Two studio-stoned stone cold KO's delivered as easily and importantly as applying a diamond onto one of Mut's talons, Keish making herself announced whilst exiting a toilet cubicle or Siob slipping out a toilet window.

Is GENERAL Sugababes CHIT CHAT allowed here? Because this past weekend, I noticed that 'Change' has finally been unblocked on Spotify on this side of the Ocean, and I can finally stream 'Never Gonna Dance Again' and 'My Love Is Pink' from this majorly dreadful album nonstop.
Now we're' only missing Angels. And on Xenomania-related updates, Mini Viva's Left My Heart In Tokyo was also unblocked :disco:
 
"Change" starts strong with five solid tracks in a row—some of them singles—and then suddenly crashes into "Back When," which might just be the worst Sugababes song ever (rivaling "Ugly"). Dallas Austin dropped the ball here. After that, it's mostly a stretch of mediocre to outright bad filler, though "Open The Door" manages to be a decent exception.
 
They never delivered a 10/10 amazing album, or even a 7/10 one for that matter. The singles however are another matter entirely.

they never had a classic album but Three has a really classy and sumptuous sound that suited them so well, especially on the slower tracks. all three "solo" songs are excellent. quite an underrated album really

Sorry to bring this up again, but on closer inspection, I also noticed they added more Singles to their discography.

Now there's every CD Single from the One Touch era, I think we only had Overload available before, and now there's Soul Sound, New Year, and Run For Cover, though only CD1 of each so there's a handful of remixes and b-sides still missing. I forgot how much I loved the J-Walk remix for Run For Cover :disco:

There's also CD1 for Caught In A Moment and In the Middle (Finally, the Radio Edit is on streaming) and Too Lost In you (with the Love Actually Edit included) and an Almighty Remix as a standalone single and lastly the Overloaded Remix collection promo album which I'm sure it wasn't there before and it's a nice little rarity to have there. As of 2024 we already had every CD single from Catfights, Sweet 7 and Change.

Now we're only missing the CD singles for the Angels With Dirty Faces releases, along with the parent album.

Oh, amazing news. I was actually just searching for Never Gonna Dance Again a week or two ago and it was absent, so it must have just been added :disco:
 
Oh I totally forgot about Ugly. I liked it but was it mainly a filler single?
 
Ugly, Back When and Sweet And Amazing should be cancelled altogether, what a sorry lot of shit songs. I mean, at least Get Sexy and About a Girl are self ware they are shit and ironic.
 
About a Girl is second only to Overload in the Sugababes singles ranking.

As an aside, I saw a comedian on Friday refer to The Ship of Theseus, or Theseus’s Paradox - a thought experiment about whether a ship remains the same ship if all the original parts are replaced over time - as an idea he never understood until someone said it’s just like the Sugababes innit.

I knew they still had something like that in them
 
Jungle-Weeds was an excellent 1-2 with two different sides of them.

From the short clip this one sounds not a million miles from Jungle.
