I have the luxury of having no permanent colleagues, therefore no parties!

It was freezing here last night. I forgot to put the heaviest quilt on when I made the bed in the week though :DAF:

And I've just changed the heating so we're getting it on for about double what it was programmed for.
We're still using a 4.5 tog duvet!

No Christmas parties for me this year thankfully, we might have a little team lunch and then there's an outdoor event (with free food trucks etc) for our wider directorate a week on Friday, which will be more than enough for me. All during the day, no drink, nice and manageable :tongueout:

Also good afternoon! It's the last evening of my mum staying here (she flies out early on Tuesday but is going to an airport hotel tomorrow while I'm at work). It's been lovely having her here for the past (nearly) three weeks, but it'll be nice to get the place to myself again too :eyes:

I'm currently on the 15 tog duvet with two massive furry blankets on top. I don't even drop to a 4.5 tog when it's thirty degrees outside! :D
Wow!! Do you feel the cold a lot? We had. 13 tog on holiday and I felt so claustrophobic, and woke up every night sweating.

I'm nearly always a bit chilly. I'm what certain northerners would describe as "nesh" which means very susceptible to the cold or feels the cold easily. Once I fall asleep it's like my body temperature plummets and within an hour I wake up shivering and can't get warm again if I don't have a duvet and blankets on. In summer when everybody's in vest and shorts I've got three-quarter pants, a t-shirt and at least a shirt or light cardigan on.

Once I get really cold, chilled to my bones, the only way I can warm up again is by soaking in a hot bath.

Oh bless you! Is it bad circulation or you've just always felt the cold? I very rarely get to the chilled to my bones stage but when I do, it is horrible, and I also have a hot bath.

I hate being cold as much as I hate being too hot.

I've always been like that. I take after my mum's mum, she used to say it was because our blood's not thick enough :D
