SUNDAY BANNED

I am heading back over to Ireland later this week for a while so am having my daughter, her partner and his parents around for Sunday lunch in a bit. Rib of beef is roasting away lovely in the oven and I am already contemplating pouring a lovey glass of red.

HAPPY SUNDAY!

How well done is your rib of beef if it’s already in?

My ribs are still in bed!

Anyway, morning. Mild hangover. Need a roast. And yes, red wine.

We're heading for a roast in less than 2 hours. I'm still in bed shattered.

Absolutely shitting it that I won't be able to do tomorrow.

I roast it on a high heat for 20 minutes, then a lower heat for 20 then rest it for another 30 minutes so it should be ready to cut just after 12 for medium rare.

This has made me decide to go out for lunch, though, which is marvellous. I’ve got a Bloody Mary head on.

I have a chicken to roast but we got unexpectedly pissed last night and then there was ket and I’m hanging.

I’m proud that I had an actual bag of cocaine put in my pocket and I just handed it back without doing any.

I mean, I stayed up til 3 drinking, but SMALL WINS.

I did contemplate getting the coke out but decided against it. I dont even like it but once I’m a few wines deep it seems tempting.

I've pulled a muscle in my back whilst walking, resulting in a painful HOBBLE to the subway. And my podiatry appointment is tomorrow for my OLD MAN FOOT.

I'm only 32. What is THIS SHIT?

What is up with your foot?

I think my plantar fasciitis is playing up again. Although the pain is more in the back of my heel, which makes me think it could be more like achilles tendonitis. I've made more of a concerted effort with walking this last couple of weeks again, and that's the only thing that really could have set it off.

plantar fasciitis
Googling has suggested this is a possibility. When I walk, especially since I've lost weight, I get a pain that is usually just behind my toes but moves around, sometimes making my whole leg sore, which I think is because I start walking in a way to avoid the immediate pain in my foot.

The more concerning thing is that sometimes my whole right leg is significantly colder than the rest of my body, which Google suggested meant I was in danger of IMMINENT DEATH. So naturally I closed the tab and promptly pretended to never have read it

Yeah, I'd get that checked out. Although probably only since my heart diagnosis last year. Before that I'd probably choose to ignore it.

My plantar fasciitis normally responds well if I just use off the shelf arch inserts. But this time they don't seem to be helping much.

What's your heart diagnosis?

I slag Paris off a lot but you do see the most beautiful man you’ve ever seen in your life approximately every 20 minutes.

Well, he is a former British diplomat. Likely place for him to be.

So when I mentioned this, the doctor made a very audible surprised noise, but didn't ask any follow up questions or mention it herself. At the end of the call, I double checked that this was nothing to worry about, and she said it was PROBABLY fine.

So naturally I am now preparing the list of people who will be explicitly NOT invited to my imminent funeral.

My friends cat had this. They were prescribed diaretics. And something else but I forget what.
I'm not on any meds for it. Just lots of tests since it was diagnosed last March, and now check ups at the Heart Institute. Unfortunately I do also have high blood pressure (which is more common if you have it) though, and am on meds for that. Hopefully that seems to be coming under control, though.

In my head I've cast the Doctor as Linda from the Traitors.
