Sunday blows over

I went to Lidl for tat in the end, and braving the elements was actually quite exciting. Naturally I wore a weather-appropriate cagoule :)

Well, I've had a bath so that's THAT. Once my PJs are on, they're on and that's that.

I got semi-dressed today, no bra and no belt on my jeans. Had to pop to the shop for a packet of fags so I just put a long cardigan on and held it closed so nobody would see my falling-down pants or jiggly jubblies as I ran. I've scheduled my bath for 6pm, the bafty-singing playlist on the iPad is ready to go.

I went out for some Sunday lunch to a beautiful country spot with my daughter and her boyfriend as my son is at his Dads until later. He wanted to drive so of course I did not refuse as I had a tad too much to drink last night, and it meant I could have a bottle of Merlot to myself. Just back home now, so am going to put the fire on and lie in front of it for the foreseeable. Sunday vibes. :disco:

What does bafty-singing mean @Floppet?

It just means singing in the bath. It's the name of the playlist. I also have playlists named showertime, sweary driving, Great Uncle Freddie (Queen songs) and kitchen dancing amongst others.

I have the bath so hot I have to acclimatise to it one foot at a time and I just sing my little head off until I get fed up of my heart feeling like it's going to throb out of my ears with the heat.

Obviously we're enjoying the storm over at the Eurovision forum, but it looks like it's been a MAJOR BEAST.

Sounds FABULOUS. :disco:

Me too Indie! Got up to find half an inch of water on the windowledge and lost count of the number of cold drips I got down the back of my neck whilst trying to clean it up. My windowledge now sports an 80l storage box sat upon an old duvet cover catching the drips, luckily it's just coming through in a straight line and not all over. I've inspected the slates by looking out of my bedroom window but can't see any have slipped so I think it might be the lead flashing that's come away from the wall because I can't see that part without going out and up a ladder (it's below the bedroom windowsill).

Hope yours is manageable too.

Yeah it's fine, ish. Only had the bloody thing recovered last year, but the sheer volume of water squeaked through a gap where two sheets were overlaid. Not much came in to be fair, but will have to repaint the ceiling.
