Sunday gets up when she wants

Morning. I’ve come to terms with the fact my holiday is not going to happen. My airline is letting me re-arrange the tickets free of charge, so I’m hoping things are back to normal in November.

Heading out for lunch as I don’t want to get cabin fever and let’s be honest London will probably be shutdown this time next week.

Morning.

My dad has cancelled his trip to Scotland in June :( The people they were taking on a mini-tour of the north are from Australia and they're worried they wouldn't get back into the country. Quite down about it.

Popped to Asda to do my usual Sunday shop. It was busier than I've ever seen (including Christmas), people wearing masks (really?!) and one man had stacks of Fray Bentos pies in tins along with every other tinned food you can imagine. Shelves were bare and the till queues went back to the aisles. So I'm stood waiting for the till and had a hot flush (not unusual) so without thinking what I was doing I fanned my face with my hand then did a little asthma-clearing-of-the-tubes cough. The woman behind me stepped backwards so fast she almost fell over and after that didn't come within 10 feet of me. Had I been in a better mood I'd have explained I didn't have Coronavirus but I decided to let her spend the next week panicking at every tiny cough instead, panic-buying bitch. :D

Fabulous. The stupidity of some people is unreal.

It is making me wonder what this is going to do for the supermarkets. The end of the tax and accounting years are coming and they're all having a bigger sales boom than Christmas. There's always a winner of some sort, isn't there?

Floppet how are you feeling about all this? I feel you may well be my much needed calming influence.

I'm ignoring it and laughing (also sad) at the mentality of the general populace who needed to have it explained to them how to wash their hands properly then promptly went out and bought a hundred bogrolls. I have enough problems on my plate right now and have decided if I'm going to catch it I'm going to catch it, there's sod all I can do about it. Coronavirus is the least of my worries. A couple of weeks in quarantine would be nice, watching crap telly and lying on the sofa without feeling guilty that I'm not fulfilling the wants of other people but I'm more bothered that Mr F probably won't get his gallbladder op later this month if they suspend all none-urgent surgery again. I'm deliberately ignoring the fact that I'm in the high-risk group and will most likely die if I get it.

I’m the only person in the cafe this morning. It feels very end of days outside.

I wish I had a dog or a boyfriend in times like this.

Leaning more towards the dog.

I might try this on the train tomorrow to guarantee myself a seat.

Look, I did 2 weeks housebound in 2017 when I had my fanny installed - it's actually FINE. Might have snuck out briefly on day 12, mind you... :shy:

I accidentally ended up in here by looking away from my phone and accidentally clicking on it without realising and now it’s going to ruin Sunday with two Sunday threads on the go :D
