Sunday has a little black line

@GinAg (39) - you had the treatment for it if I remember. I’ve got to go get it now as I’m high risk- anything interesting/ abnormal about it?

So having been referred there by 111, got to the hospital for them to say “oh no, we don’t do the drugs here” and then to sit around for an hour and a half whilst they tried to work out how to get me the drugs, if I needed the drugs and finally got told “yeah, we’re not doing them now, only if you get really sick”.

“Er, the NHS website literally says high risk people must take them at the first sign of infection”

“Oh that was when we were in lockdown”

“No it wasn’t. You didn’t have the drugs then”

“Oh well, it was a while ago so come back to us if you’re really sick”.

WHY IS EVERY INTERACTION I HAVE WITH THE NHS SUCH A FUCKING BINFIRE?

Mildly hungover as we smashed two bottles of wine watching dune 2 last night. Came home and had a kebab. Proper.

Glad I dont have covid

My passport application has been approved within 8 days. I'm shocked!

K had covid before christmas and is clincally vunerable. I just asjed him & he said he rang a SPECIAL COVID HOTLINE (119 i believe) and a doctor rang him back went over his medical shite and symptoms and sent a prescription for the pills to a certain local pharmacy and he had to go pick them up. (well sit in the car and phone for someone to bring them out to him)

I’m going to call them tomorrow- they’re not open on a Sunday.

I am having a day to myself today. I was going to have OUR VERA over for Sunday lunch but have delayed until tomorrow. Just need some me and Moopy time.

I expected longer. I tend not to keep abreast with PASSPORT POLITICS.

Without giving too much away I work somewhat closely to HM Passport Office (don’t come for me!) and can confirm they have much improved their service.

It was abysmal though for quite some time. :eyes:

It's a good 15 months or so since I was poorly, but I'm pretty sure they were delivered to me.

Do you ever get days where you can’t be bothered? I blame too much overindulgence over the past few days, but I have 3 missed phone calls already and really just want a day to myself. Yes, I am back and it is lovely to see people but I just want peace but then feel guilty for not getting back to people. :(

Oh it feels like it was a lot more recent than that!

Anyway, I’m not that worried- last time it was fairly run of the mill stuff- but just thought I’d do all I can to protect myself/ speed up the recovery.

What is it with the guilt? I feel since having kids especially, if I'm not doing anything productive I just feel guilty. Right now I just want to sleep, but I'll plough on.

It’s definitely since I had the kids and unfortunately I never lost it. Your kids are still small so I totally get the eternal tiredness. What are you up to for Mothers Day? Shannon made me breakfast this morning and I still haven’t heard from Diarmuid back in Ireland. Most likely still in his bed.

Oh nothing much! We've a lot of other stuff going on at the moment so keeping things low key. But still got some cute cards made at school!

I got mad with myself for not getting as much work done yesterday as I wanted to. On a saturday.

After WEEKS of constant tiredness, I've had a real spring in my step the last few days. Not sure why, the weather is dogshit but the days are longer.

I know we were debating if spring has sprung, but the daffs are out and my mode has shifted from constantly tired to buoyant.

My sense of taste has just disappeared literally from one bite to the next in a bag of crisps. Really weird.

Plus Mr Sheena has made me bolognaise (my favourite) for dinner to cheer me up and that’s fucked now :(

Mine went suddenly like that. Hopefully it'll be back soon for you. My taste came back fine within a few weeks but my sense of smell is still nowhere near what it used to be and it's almost six months since I had it.

It came (partially) back for a sandwich I just ate, albeit not that strong, but I could taste it after I threw loads of salt on it (and I never use salt even in cooking, so that was interesting).

Since my first Covid (back in March 2021), every time I've had a cold I've lost my sense of taste and smell. I always think it's Covid but I never test positive. But literally every time, completely goes now and had never happened before.
