Today is more packing and moving preparation for me, but the end is in sight I think.

Why are you guys awake so early? If I didn't have children I wouldn't be awake this early on a Sunday :lolly:

I slept at 4. First ever gay wedding I’ve been to. They’re not my friends though, they’re Mr DC’s friends so I couldn’t get THAT excited.

I'm just bad at PLANNING - both days this weekend I have moving-related stuff that I stupidly arranged to happen early (yesterday the charity people were collecting my sofa, today someone's taking my wardrobe and I had to take off the doors before they arrive). I was up at 5am all week to do overtime at work as well, so I really didn't think it through :( I've taken tomorrow off though, so definitely having at least a bit of a lie in then.

Morning! I’ve been for a (freezing) swim and to a car boot which was amazing - for one they moved it literally outside my front door, for two I got this lot for £15, all of which has put me in a splendid mood.

I've not got up yet. I've had coffee and pastries brought to me. Think I'll probably stay in bed until 11 or so.

WHAT A WASTE OF A LIFE

I’m joking- I know such down time is important to a lot of people, but fuck me, that’s making me itchy just thinking about it.

I'm sleeping on the most uncomfortable bed ever on holiday so I'm waking at 6am :(

Also I've been eating seeded bread recently and the seeds come out in my poo.

A moment in bed is never wasted. I've been off since Thursday, due back Wednesday, and I've got a lovely balance of doing stuff/doing nothing.

Where do you expect them to come out, as ear wax?

And I've got three cats in bed with me .

Mr L is downstairs fastforwarding through Hollyoaks

Oh I hate being in bed. Sleep is a total waste of time for me, I hate that I have to do it!

I'm not sure whether the neighbours in the top flat opposite are still in bed or went out early but it's been very amusing watching their cat climb and shred their living room curtains. I know that cats can climb up trees but this one's been doing some proper acrobatics on those curtains. At one point it fell off backwards and upside down and I was a bit worried for it but it was back within moments.

With ebay etc I do think a lot of the joy has been taken out of car boot sales, which is fair enough, of course people should get the value of their stuff correctly, but unfortunately it does mean you're left with some right old shite and, increasingly now, so many commercial style stalls. If you take out food, plants, new products and craft stalls etc I think only about half of them are people selling their own crap I tend to find. BUT there is still nothing quite like a mince up and down the aisles sifting through TAT and it makes it even more fun when you do find something you actually want or reasonably valuable.

It’s been rubbish for records (which is all I go for really) for ages around here. Today was a ridiculous stroke of luck- and not just from one seller.

As plants have been mentioned, when did they become a huge thing again? It feels like every second new shop that opens here is a plant shop. Or a gift shop which also sells plants. Or a cafe which also sells plants.

A few years back if I was in town, the only place I could get a houseplant would be a small selection at M&S. Now I reckon I've got about there are about ten places I could go within a ten minute walk of my office.

Is it a lockdown thing?

We did the Gloucester Road charity shop crawl on Friday. Really quite depressing from that perspective.
