... that she found in the back of the shed yesterday. I cleaned it up and it still works so I've been amusing myself firing it at Diarrhea Pigeon when it lands in the hawthorn tree to scare it off again. I'm sick of the mess it made on my shed roof and the cooing at 5am outside my bedroom window. Hopefully it'll choose another favourite tree further down the park.

I should say that I'm not trying to hit the pigeon, just firing in the general direction and hitting the foliage nearby to scare it. I'm not a monster.

I've also just discovered that a magpie is taking advantage of the squirrel monkeynuts. I was hanging washing out and the necky bleeder landed in the garden, three feet away from me, hopped onto the top step, picked up the peanut and flew off with it.

Judging by the cries of dismay audible from my flat, the people who were in the nearby pub beer garden aren’t enjoying the massive thunderstorm that has just brewed up. :D

It's bashing down here, rolling thunder and the odd lightning. The first lightning caused a power cut on our estate, Mr F was particularly disgruntled when the PS5 turned off during a boss fight that it had taken him three hours to get to. I sussed what had happened because I could hear the swearing downstairs on the other side of the house :D

We saw a homeless man outside Asda earlier today and Little Kylie kept asking about him, he said he felt really sorry for him and what would he eat, why was he homeless etc.

Just now when I was putting him to bed he just burst into tears. He said he can't stop thinking about the homeless man and where does he sleep, why is he homeless, it was hot today and he didn't even have a hat on his head.

His tears just broke my heart :( I saw the man and just walked past without a second thought because I've become so hardened over the years. Seeing it through a child's eyes and them asking why we didn't buy him any food has really got to me :(

:( what a lovely little boy you've got Star. It's interesting how innocent kids are and how un hardened to the world they are.
