I need to go and get a haircut and then my bestie is arriving from the UK for a few days in Paris where I'll be TOUR GUIDE. although of course I'm BROKE.

I've seen her a couple of times, hosting the annual Christmas comedy gala, she's good. She's not coming this year, instead we've got Maisie Adams hosting

Yeah I've seen her before as part of a line up a few years back.

A friend and I have decided to make a bit more of a concerted effort to see comedy when it's right here. Thankfully a fair amount of big names seem to be touring in January and February here, which feels like a good time for comedy.

Actually Stuart Goldsmith has hosted a comedy night in aid of Mencap for the last two Blue Mondays, but it doesn't seem to be listed for January yet. I hope it's still happening.

As well as Maisie Adams, we've got Sam Campbell, Bridget Christie, Mike Wozniak and Phil Ellis coming up. Live comedy is good value and a good time.

We discussed Judi Love, but were worried it would be quite LOOSE WOMEN orientated and held off.
