Sunday is snow joke

It snowed (quite heavily) and settled overnight. I saw it!

Gone now.
 
Too lazy to get out of bed and open the blinds to see if it’s snowed here. It is baltic however and I plan to do sweet fuck all today.
 
I've popped on some trashy 90s reggae to perk my mood. It's kinda working.

Not a solitary flake of snow here. Rather grey and grimey out.
 
We had maybe 2-3 inches overnight with some light flurries still happening. Don't think it'll last very long though.

I'm considering making a wholly uneccessary trip to the corner shop just so I can wear my snowboots. This is when I miss Ridley the most, he used to love the snow so I'd be out in it with him, watching him running with his head down and ploughing snow with his nose or him jumping to catch snowflakes in his giant mouth.
 
There’s only about 2 cm here, we had much more in November.
 
Very snowy here, was dead pretty when I woke up at 7, went back to sleep and still plenty about.
 
I need to go to MORRISONS to spend TWELVE PENCE to keep up with my NEW YEAR COLLECTOR but I can't be BOTHERED
 
We never had any, just sleet. And it's apparently 13° out there. I've not tested it, but the heating went off at about 9.30 and it's plenty mild enough without it.
 
Shopping drama on in the Star house today;

Me: Kylie you're being mean to Dannii today, you go shopping with Poppa, you've got the list you've written.

Kylie: But why me? It's cold outside, my coat is wet, Dannii should go...

(goes on for 10 minutes)

Me: OK Dannii you be a good girl and you go shopping instead, go put your cost on

Dannii: OK Mamma

Kylie: Actually I'll go because there's no way she can read my handwriting. Don't worry, I'll go.

I did it! Half an hour each way in the slush to buy some crumpets. Anything to get me away from Mr Shirl moaning on about how he wants everything to go back to how it was before he nearly died the summer before last. GOOD LUCK, as they say, WITH THAT!

You're a braver man than I! I put my snowboots on and trekked 100 yards to the corner shop, there and back in five minutes, so no Mozzers bonus for me.

Poor Mr Shirl, and poor you. You have my sympathy, it isn't easy living with sick people who can do nothing about it.
 
I need to book flights to go back home but I am enjoying being back in Scotland with my girl. The problem is my boy is back in Ireland. 🤦🏻‍♀️
 
None of them are children now and he is loving have the rule of the roost with his girlfriend, and I am feeling very melancholic about life in general. I need to get a hobby other than shopping or drinking. I also have a fella waiting back home for me but I’m not sure my heart is in it. UGH.
 
I'm due back at work tomorrow, my first day since December 19th. I've never had so much leave before without a long haul holiday, and that was several years ago now.

As much as I do have the dread of getting up early and facing email etc, there is a sense of relief at having some structure again, even though I have an important meeting about my future there.

In short, I don't think I am ready for retirement yet, even if I could afford it. Just knowing that is a relief in some ways.

I found that myself! Although life exhausts me, the routine gets me out the house at least. I've been so sedentary without it.

At least you have the children to get you up and about.

I've spent 3 or 4 days since I've been off entirely in my pyjamas and not getting up until mid afternoon. Don't get me wrong, I've really enjoyed it, reading, watching stuff or listening to podcast etc, but I don't think it's good for me to do it that frequently.
 
I am the complete opposite - I did a days work last week and SULKED
