Morning
I’m bored, I’m on a trip to an onsen town and it’s raining. The only things to really do are go in the hot springs, eat or trudge in the rain.

I’m between hot springs and I’m not hungry yet so I’m in a stylish looking cafe drinking the bitterest lemonade I’ve ever had (and spent £4 on)

I’m alright I just think my fluids aren’t in balance or something. Like Hangry but not that

Had to Google "onsen town" there. Looks like it would be fab if it was sunny and a bit miserable in the rain.

This morning I am revisiting Manic Street Preachers' "midlife crisis" trilogy. Well, the 2 good ones - Rewind The Film and Futurology. Postcards From A Young Man can piss off.

Well it’s not so bad if you’re in a bath because you’re already wet

But have you ever seen Spirited Away? The town lights up and dozens of food stands and restaurants open? It’s the opposite of that. It’s 6.30 on Sunday on a 3-day weekend and there’s basically nowhere to eat

A girl from school has just called her kid IRA, is that even a name? The GAG that kid’s gonna get when he first Googles his name.

It is a name! I've always thought of it being more popular in the US (and I think traditionally with Jewish men?).

The sushi and Japanese stuff seems extremely expensive, and I’m rather curious about a British bar that looks as British as a miniature Eiffel Tower with a union flag on it

The reviews seem to either be 5 star lovely friendly lolz or 1 star “I’ll never go there again” unfriendly to tourists

So 🤷🏻‍♂️

More importantly it doesn’t seem like they do food so I’ll find somewhere else before I die

Aye, sack it off. Sounds like a classic tourist trap, lovely to look at but naff all to do.

Getting pizza of all things, what’s the one called with the soft boiled egg in the middle? It’s called BISMARCK here but I’m not sure that’s the Italian vibe they use in Europe?

I guess a video about a flop trip might be interesting? Better than a flop video about a regular trip

Speaking of which, CAT ISLAND video out now anywhere YouTube videos are shown (Mosley YouTube)

Google sez Portuguese Pizza?

If only you were recording during your ill fated trip to MALTA.

That’s possible too, there’s a fair few Portuguese things in Japan, they were the first in when it reopened. Castella cake is very popular, I think Tempura might be Portuguese?? (Possibly just the word)

I’ve been pickling mushrooms this morning. Not going to lie I expected my midlife crisis to involve more hookers and cocaine than this.

@Diddy and the biddies in his onsen town.

Yeah, I see this one in Europe (Italy, too)

E.g. a Steak with a Fried egg on top is also a "Bistecca alla Bismarck".

Bismarck was known for eating a large quantity of eggs, so that stuck.

I’m feeling a bit light-headed.. maybe too much spa? Really don’t want to pass out, thanks

Btw if I drop dead now, don’t be alarmed when another video is uploaded next week, it’s already scheduled

Diddy-san publishing content from beyond the grave, sugoi desu ne? :o

I've just had to give heathcliff antibiotics, which was horrible. As soon as he took it he ran off and hid from me, hissing. Then started foaming at the mouth and drooling.

I'm not giving him them again :(

This is all getting a bit much to be honest, and I'm doing what I said I'd never do to him, and that's put him through treatment he hates, and make him scared of me :(

Is it a time limited course of antibiotics, or his permanent future? If it's time limited he'll get over it and trust you again soon enough.

Also, if he is an outdoor cat, I'd consider keeping him indoors until the medication is done. One of my cats ran away because she hated it so much, but thankfully someone found her under their shed and we got her back about a week later.

At the moment it's time limited, 7 days. But I'm only on day 2 and it's already a fight. And he now has 2 lifetime illnesses, pancreatitis and diabetes. So could have a flare up of the pancreatitis at any point which then will affect his diabetes.

He's an indoor cat.

I'm sure he can get used to it!
He has very few pleasures in life being an indoor cat, he doesn't hunt or go play in the garden. He's absolutely obsessed with me, and generally he's very happy. But I don't want potentially his last few months being spent frightened of me and stuck at the vets.
