AGAIN!

it's grey, rainy and cold in Paris and I don't want to get out of bed. but I'm going for coffee with a hot straight guy so I have to.

It's sunny cold and beautiful in the Alps.

So of course I woke up at 7am and watched "Good Grief" this morning for whatever reason.

I'm think I'm just coming out of the worst of my illness. Mr Ag however appears to be succumbing, having had a night of fever dreams.

I have just completed my YouGov £50 voucher though :disco:

It's holiday day today 🍾

Well, actually today is us going to London for 2 days before we fly out Buenos Aires, but it still counts as a holiday.

We are trying to use up food that needs eating so I'm having lasagne for breakfast :disco:

I've still got another 4300 points to go, I'm so bored already 😭

Good morning Moopy. Everyone has set off to head back home and I have decided to spend New Year in Scotland this year with my baby girl so I now have a few days to myself after the most manic Christmas.

I really haven't minded missing most of Christmas. I don't feel like I've missed out on anything.

Why are those creme egg things in tins of celebrations may I ask? I assume the leftover ones in May get smashed up and repurposed for those monstrosities?

My first creme egg of the year is usually essential for those mid January blues.

"Twisted". Nah, just a way of keeping the franchise going outside of Easter. I think they're in Heroes rather than Celebrations.

I'm down to the Christmas chocolate dregs now.

That's right - I'm having to consider opening the orange Matchmakers.

I think I need to do some serious fridge management. There's so much stuff in there about to go out of date. Going to London yesterday, the pantomime the day before, and my Mum's on Boxing Day means that we haven't had a proper meal together at home since Christmas Dinner itself. Don't know what I was thinking of.

I haven’t touched any chocolates and also have far too much food still unopened. I believe the food bank is open here today so am going to get rid of it all and go for a shop later to get supplies in for New Year and probably go through the same rigmarole again. :hostage:

We've had a couple of NYE possibilities come our way. Not going to actually accept either offer, obviously. In fact I'm kind of pissed off someone is trying to tempt me away from midnight in my pyjamas with a bottle of crémant watching Sophie Ellis-Bextor.

I’ve used the last of the ham in a cheese, ham & mustard toastie (stunning) and made a satay turkey dish yesterday with the leftover turkey. I never want to eat turkey again for a long time.

I have to admit it’s been a few years (since Covid) that I haven’t done anything for NYE. And this year I feel like doing something. (drugs)

Generally I love New Year as it is just a big piss up with those we love. It’s never on par with Christmas for me but I think the older I get I prefer the run up to Christmas.

Are most of you still off work or do you go back in between Christmas and New Year?

I'm not back until Monday 6th. That's leave though - I could have worked Friday (well, except I never work Fridays) and then every day next week except NYD.

We've left our staff working in the shop until New year's eve. Then off for 2 days, back in for 2, then closed for 3 weeks.

I basically have a normal work week apart from being off on Wednesday. I genuinely don't mind. I used to work somewhere that closed over Xmas and New Year and I was bored rigid because there was sod all to do.
