Sunday steps into Christmas

The weather is rubbish and I'm so tempted to laugh off our trip to the island. I won't, but I want to.

Morning. Dog walk done so I feel a sense of accomplishment. Will probably head out for a run in a bit but the skies are looking menacing.

When I was in the shops on Friday, one of Glasgow's main shopping centres was playing The Wedding Present's buzzsaw cover of Step Into Christmas from 1992. This rather cheered me. They made a zero budget video for it.

I shazammed a lovely sounding Elton Christmas song that was on the radio yesterday and was aghast to discover it was him and Ed Sheeran :gross:

I’m off to the pub and then panto which features DUNCAN JAMES.

Heading into town for lunch, the cinema (finally going to see Godzilla Minus One :disco:) then we'll get a few last minute bits and bobs for tomorrow. Happy Christmas Eve 🎄

I did see Peter Pan at the Palladium on Thursday though, with Julian Clary and Jennifer Saunders. Excellent.

Although as much as I do prefer Jennifer Saunders, I suspect that in panto, Dawn French (who did it last year) is probably better.

On my way to my mother's in disgusting drizzle. Popped into the Co-op on the way to pick up a few limes, as I know she'll have forgotten. I fully intend to be semi sozzled on snowballs within the hour :santa:

You are travelling back TODAY? Are you MAD?
Apparently yesterday was going to be the busiest day for travel! Don't worry, I have my first class ticket booked :disco: (as has probably everyone else so I'll make sure I'm POISED on the concourse to leg it to the train)

Do you see your mum tomorrow, or does she go to one of your siblings?

It varies. This year she's going to my niece (so her granddaughter) who is hosting her first Christmas. But she's having an open house on Boxing Day, so I'll see her properly 'for Christmas' then. I always see her on Sundays, so today is routine rather than a Christmas thing.

Christmas Day will be just me and Mr L all day, but I'm perfectly fine with that, particularly as Boxing Day will be full on as I think my brother, sister, their partners, and most of the nieces, nephews, partners and great nieces and nephews will be calling in at Mum's at various points. And she has a two bedroomed flat...

It's WINDY again. Ran an errand and got well and truly windswept.

I love the run of Stacey and Bradley coming to a brutal end with a shot of Stacey and some other bloke and a baby.

Hope everyone is ready for some Christmas surprises!

This is amazing :D In the comments someone points out that one of the Stacey and Bradley pics gets reused a few years later, but with Kat and Alfie's heads pasted onto the bodies.
