Sunday succumbs to DOUBLE PENETRATION

Ugh, a walk somewhere nice on the coast has turned into just Edinburgh. I'm looking up places to go solo next time. I'm absolutely ravaged after the gym, I'll need to buy moisturizer.
 
I’m having a BARBECUE today and then were going to the BEACH tomorrow :disco:
 
My plans for today are:
poo stick adventure in the back garden
strim the grass in the back garden (till it's short enough to mow easily)
mow the grass in the back garden
hack/saw at the council's trees that hang over the back garden

More likely today will consist of:
poo stick adventure in the back garden
sit down and have a cup of tea
watch telly all day

I've booked a trip to Brighton with #thelads for my birthday.

Recommendations for things to do in Brighton are WELCOME because I have no idea :D
 
Hi Moopy. I got the fright of my life on Friday evening around 8pm when I got a knock at the door and my beautiful Mammy was standing there. I have not seen her since New Year of 2020 before Covid hit, and as she has now been doubly vaccinated she decided to drive over from Ireland to see us. She is only here until tomorrow but my spirits have lifted so much and I have spent the weekend catching up with her and we have been absolutely blessed with the weather. I am so happy.
 
Car drama again. Eps, Abs, battery and some other symbol light (like a floating thermometer on sea) all on, and the wheel scarily stiff.

So many fit guys out though. It was a feast.

We’ve had our first barbecue of the summer. Omg I’ve eaten so much salmon, sausages :horny:, halloumi and salad with loads of tzatziki on top :disco:

The floating thermometer means your engine is overheating. When did you last check your coolant (antifreeze) level? If your level is fine I suggest your next trip in the car is only to drive it to a nearby mechanic because it sounds like you might have serious car problems. If it's low then buy some ready mixed antifreeze from Halfords or a peccy station and top it up (into a cold engine). If you don't know where to check it it's usually a plastic opaque reservoir that has a line about halfway down that says min and another line further up that says max (mine says hot and cold for some reason) and it's got (mine's pink) coloured liquid in it. You need to top up at least to the "min" mark.

Next door have friends round for a barbecue so I'm not going to do noisy garden work and ruin it for them. I've done the poo stick adventure and took the dog on a nice long walk, it was a bit too warm for him so he's now in the kitchen trying to cool himself down by lying on the floor then, when it warms up, moving to another cool part, panting and whining.

It cost £300 the last time. I think a new one is on the cards at this point :D

Have a saunter around the Lanes. Make sure you do both The Laines and the North Lanes. Legends is my preferred gay bar/club. Western Road and the Lanes for good food. If you want a Sunday Roast, may I recommend the Lion and Lobster. If it's sunny and you're up early, a walk up and down the seafront is amazing. It's trash down there come the evening, stick to Lanes or Kemp Town (gay district).

Is it an old'ish car? I remember with Big Red that it started off with one little problem (on a part that my mechanic didn't even know existed until I told him it was there) then immediately after came a slightly larger problem and I kept paying out and paying out and then came the final problem and all the money in the world couldn't have fixed it (because the part that I needed didn't exist any more).

Probably best to think about getting a new one before the old one conks out, you're right. I was without a car for eighteen months after scrapping Big Red.
 
No idea on the age, I just know it's a white one (I don't know how I function sometimes). Maybe 5-10 years, but I do know it's done 100,000 miles plus.

@Ag I'm sorry to be that person but it would remiss of me not to point out it's The Lanes and North Laine :kim: but yes both areas highly recommended @Gangsta Nancy Lam. North Laine is your quirky shops, cafes and very typical Brighton. The Lanes is posher and has lots of jewelers but very picturesque and nice for a wander.

My favourite gay bar is Charles Street (but I think it's called something else now?) And you can't go wrong with Ag's Lengeds suggestion too.

As for a clubby night out if they're even still a thing I don't really know anymore. :D Revenge was always my go to but the clientele is VERY young and very basic.

A bit expensive but the i360 was a surprisingly fun experience. Sort of thing you only really need to do once though.
 
I want to go Brighton RIGHT NOW. We're seeing the in-laws in a couple of weeks for the first time since 2019 (as in, first time going to them) but I'm not sure they'd be up for a big night in Revenge...
 
Lots of restaurants along the Marina too so worth a bus ride or longish walk down there. Also good if you like BOATS

Otherwise I'd echo that the North Laine is key to nosey around, go for a walk between the two piers (well the one pier and the one that's dead) and pop into the Pavilion for some culture (it's really quite amazing inside).
 
Yeah the Marina is OK. Prefer the undercliff walk by Black Rock down that way, but that's very much THIRD TRIP.
