Sundaybucket

My Tesco shop was due to be delivered between 1pm and 2pm. My phone rang at 12.40 and it was the driver saying he was early and would I accept the shopping now or did I want him to wait so I told him it was OK, come now. I looked out of the window and there he was, parked up a bit down the road. When I opened the door I asked whether people really would ask him to wait 20 minutes and he said it happens all the time! Is it some kind of power trip for them?!

I live for their shortcrust savories and vanilla slices but might try the spicy chicken slices one day.

Pound Bakery > Greggs > Carrs > Greenhalghs but Ye Olde Pastie Shoppe pasty barm beats them all hands down
Yeah I'd agree with that heirarchy. Never actually went to Ye Olde Pastie Shoppe, the queue was always down the road whenever I went past.

I've not had a drink this weekend and I feel wretched.

same. I have a cute pre-mixed Tanqueray and tonic in the fridge for an afternoon quickie later to stabilize me before work tomorrow

Oh, btw, I'm not going to do a Sunday Sync this week - too many comps going on, Moopy needs a rest.

£1 bakery? The local bakery here is called Sugar & Spice and is lovely but you couldn’t get bugger all for £1. I bought 3 strawberry tarts yesterday as they have recently reopened and it cost £7.50.

Morning/afternoon all.

Are we planning a Sunday Sync listen for this evening, @octophone?

...and this is why you check yr notifications before you post!

I'm taking a week off the Sunday Sync then it looks like "Artpop" is the desired choice for Tuesday.

Makes sense. I can use the hour to listen to dance anthems and/or Festival di Soldi entries.

Pound Bakery used to be Hampsons then they changed the name but kept the recipes and you get 2 for £1 whether it's pasties, pies or cakes. I think the breakfast menu is more than £1 for bacon barms or sausage barms though.

We don’t have any of that around here. The joys of living in a small town I suppose -no competition.

Yes on THAT note this is everyone’s daily remember to keep sending in your Festival Di Soldi votes! Remember the deadlines are 12PM on Wednesday and Thursday.

I really need to pick up on that. I have only listened to 5 songs so far. I will get on to it though, as a matter of URGENCY.

I'm going to spend my Sunday afternoon listening to the entries :disco:

Hello Moopy. I'm very hungover. Drinking until 3am with my stepsister was a bad idea. Especially as Mandy had to be up at 6.30am :wired:

Cold pizza and chicken strips is helping.

That's what I felt - with so many entries/nominees for both, it made sense not to crowd Moopy's eartime.
