Sunday's dad was a toolmaker.

There did seem to be a lot less around Father's Day this year - I wonder if it was submerged into the football stuff?

I did send my dad a card but he's on holiday so he won't have got it in time.
 
I didn't even send a card :shy: Will call later as he's probably at church, but have to log on to "work" today :( - well, monitor an inbox on the off-chance of an urgent thing coming in, but otherwise get tomorrow off to make up for it :weed:
 
I have an absolute bugger of a cold. I was pretty much immobile with it yesterday and dozed all day - was a bit concerned it might be something worse. Today if feels a bit more like just a standard cold and I don't ache when I move so I think we're good.
 
We've had a lot of panicked people in the shop the last few days, desperately grabbing any box of fudge they can find and requesting a Father's Day sticker. We very nearly ran out of fudge yesterday.

Facebook is full of FD posts and I couldn't be any less interested.

I don't seem to have even had the flurry of emails from companies asking me if I want to unsubscribe from emails about Father's Day, because they appreciate it can be a difficult time for some people. Which strangely seem to be more upsetting than just brushing off any old junk emails.

Yep!! And then there's the women posting on behalf of their children about how amazing their partners are.

Again, fuck off.

My dad is on FB, I think the only time I posted about Fathers day was when I thanked my mum for being a great mum and dad because my dad was such an arsehole.
 
I'd love to post a Fathers Day post for my dad on FB but it really upsets my mum so none of us do it. I don't imagine we'll be seeing spawn and sos today because an Amazon parcel and two Moonpig cards arrived through the post for Mr F earlier this week.

Well that’s his degree. He’s more of a salesman, but he has a company that makes very specific types of equipment. All I ever remember is losing interest whenever the subject of air compressors came up :shy:

I've had quite a nice day. Went on a drive with parents and sister to the coast and had chips. Currently in the bath then going to attempt some work.

The weather was grim in Belfast but it always seem to clear bt the coast.
