Andrew actually appears in the last season of Angel! Sarah Michelle Gellar was meant to be in the penultumate episode of Angel just like David Boreanz was in "Buffy" but she was filming "The Grudge" :daf:


They should NEVER kill of Drusilia, I still think one of the shows might come back (most likely Angel) and she would be much needed...
 
I need to buy Angel at some point. I totally lost track of it around the time Fred joined the cast.
 
I actually liked Jonathan, but 'Superstar' should really have been it IMO, there could have been someone else who could have been a season 6 supervillain! It didn't really make sense that it would be him!

I agree. Although, I do think the actor was better than the guy who played Andrew, and could have been JUST as funny as the reluctant sidekick figure.

Err well in "Superstar" Jonathan creates a dimension where he's the most amazing well respected celebrity ever, and the show is done on that premise until they figure out whats going wrong.

In "The Wish" Cordelia enters a dimension in which Buffy had never come to Sunnydale...
 
I don't see Angel coming back - for one, David *SWOON* Boreanaz is doing rather well on Bones and I sensed a certain amount of hostility from him towards the show in interviews and such. And as for the Charisma Carpenter debacle... what the fuck happened there??!

Does anyone know if Andrew was MEANT to considered gay, or whether it just came off like that because Tom Lenk is really mincey in real life anyway ?
 
That's something that really frustrated me. There were hints GALORE throughout his run - just fucking make him gay, CHRIST.

i don't! Apparently he's bored with "Bones" and he never wanted the show to be cancelled either. Joss Whedon said the show wasn't supposed to end where it did! Where are these interviews?


What CC debarcle? :confused: We can't say what happens to Cordelia cos of one posters request, but characters come and go..do you mean because of how she leaves ?

Don't even ask :( .. *spoiler in white*

The send-off however was wonderful if ever so sad because she was one of the best characters in any tv-show I've ever seen.

Yeah I pretty much made up the David hostility bit. You totally called me on it.

Ah no, it's the impression I got from somewhere. I'll LOOK.

And Charisma was just fucked over BIGTIME. She got the Suzanne Somers treatment in her later seasons. Something dodgy definitely happened contractually or personally or SOME SHIT.
 
And Angel ended mid season. One of the worst ends to a series I've EVER witnessed. Rating were pretty low or so I've heard.
 
Did it?? I thought the 5th was a full run?

I didn't watch anyway, can't quite remember why.

I agree, the show NEEDED Cordelia because she was the white to Angel's black. When she leaves I suppose they have Fred and Harmony but...
Also "You're Welcome" is probably the only episode in Buffyverse dedicated to the send off of one character isn't it ? I mean, Tara just dies and nothing is said because Willow goes beserk, and Anya is killed within a split second...

in Germany? cos I know in the US and on sky it ran to the end of Season 5 to "Not Fade Away" which ended on the line "Lets Go to Work"

that line was meant to be open ended and was MEANt to be the last line

Yes, they ended mid-way season 4 over here. The boxset is 80 pounds. *sighs*

All this talking about those tv-shows makes me really nostalgic. Buffy, Angel and Charmed are my holy teenager tv-trinnity :(.

I've now got all the episodes so won't be at a disadvantage like LAST time. I can actually watch them :D

Eeek. I LOVE it. It didn't have a lot of DEPTH or anything but it was great throwaway television and a lot brighter compared to Buffy and Angel.
