Susanna Hoffs - The List (NOT a covers album!)

[jivafox]

New album out in September and her first in 14 years that isn't made up of covers.

First single is bright and breezy, and that voice

[FetchFugly]

Oh that's great. Bright and breezy indeed.

[Halli]

thats lovely. I hope she does some Radio 2 gigs etc with this original ALBAM. Still one of the most beautiful women ive seen in her heyday

[straightorbroken]

Very strong indeed, and stayed in my head after only one listen.

[BoysForSeles]

Great to see her back, I haven’t played it yet but the comments suggest it’s also going to be relistenable.

[lolly]

I'm sure it'll go to #1 in Mike Read's Heritage Chart.

[Joseph]

I’ve always loved her voice

[Devil]

Waddled in here thinking this was the Good Morning Britain presenter.

I shall waddle back out.

[FetchFugly]

The album features Rufus Wainwright and Edie Brickell in some capacity.

[FetchFugly]

The new song has Rufus on harmony and is a nice pedal steel guitar country ballad:

Casablanca is still my favourite so far.

[jivafox]

Really liking this on first listen. “Where Do We Go” is an instant standout.

[FetchFugly]

I need to listen to it again, but from my first play it started out strong and became distinctly less bright and breezy in the second half.
