This is out in April? I think in the UK, I managed to go to a preview this week where Makoto Shinkai attended a Q&A afterwards :disco:

I'm deliberately embedding the non-plot trailer above as I think it's best if you don't know much about the film before you watch it. But what a FUCKING RIDE this was :disco: Utterly beautiful, funny, universal yet very personal, and a heart-breaking revelation in the third act that it's even making my hairs stand on end just typing about it now. Echoes of MY FAVOURITE FILM EVER Kiki's Delivery Service and Drive My Car. Plus a CUTE CAT and a TALKING CHAIR. What else do you need?!

I don't think there is any other director that makes me feel such an ADVENTURE RUSH with his films, my heart was in my mouth in several scenes.

Loved this. I had no idea what it was about until I saw a trailer 5 minutes before I went into the screening. It was delightfully bizarre and captivating. :disco:

Yes, this was a total delight - I loved the whole travel/scenery porn aspect of it, as well as all the chair/cat based fun. Those ladies at the hostess bar were real queens, too :disco:
