Sveriges Tolva (Thurs 14th May, 20.00 BST)

So in the absence of any more official vote, we can say the UK came sixth this year, which is especially satisfying because Christer had slagged our song off. That's Christer Björkman, the man who saw fit to send Frans and Benjamin Ingrosso to Eurovision.

FINGER IN THE PIE LUV, FINGER IN THE PIE

That’s also Christer Björkman who was dressed like THAT on national TV. Pervert!

Iceland is a deserving winner because it's one of the only songs that sounded like it was actually trying. Its main rivals were Italy-by-numbers, that indefensible Swiss tripe, and the Bulgarian woman whispering apologetically through something that sounds like a deleted scene from a straight-to-video Disney sequel.
Say what you want but Iceland bucked the trend this year by having a pulse.

I’m still laughing about it and I’m not even pissed. A total joy for ALL the wrong reasons! :disco:!
And the fact they had the Icelandic singer on skype dressing like in the preselection within SECONDS after the LIVE televoting... :side-eye:

Are they clapping in your street too? It's a night of celebration, congrats!

Somehow managed to anticipate this TRIUMPH and were clapping two hours earlier. Have been doing so every Thursday for the last couple of months.

EVER SO STRANGE...

@Suomi - did you not mention Penny's trick regarding Google translate on the old subtitles in the thread? Not SUPER needed here but what a REVELATION.

My last word on the subject is that it also had the look and feel of something on Polish TV coming to an abrupt end because someone forgot to pay the electricity bill :disco:
