Talk To Me (1 Viewer)

Talk To Me is classic Robyn. Not quite sure if it's a Robyn classic, yet, but I'm on board.

Sexistential is fine for an interlude, but I hope it's the only one of its type given we're only getting nine songs on this album.
 
Yeah Sexistential is definitely a "within the context of the album" song (for now)
 
Sexistential is that nasty Robyn bop with the rap-like verses that you didn't need but you've got it and it's slapping your arse cheeks. great single drop that's got me super excited for the rest (all 20 minutes of it)
 
This whole era is, so far, like Honey, leaving me cold…it just feels all a bit clinical and, well, cold. I dunno- WHERE’S THE BIG CHORUSES?

Dopamine is the best and even that’s 7/10.
 
Oh I like that clip of Talk To Me, will have to listen to the full thing, although confused why this is the first I’m hearing about it. She’s not getting much traction so far is she?

Is it just me or does the first line of the chorus sound like Wrecking Ball
 
This is quite the build up to the album which is good, although maybe a tad early we will see

Talk to Me is 10/10 NUFD.

Sexistential is great trash pop.

Dopamine seems a bit more mid next to them.
 
She was listed second on NMF at midnight last night with TTM, but pushed down to #4 now overnight with Bruno Mars and Zach Bryan added. Still, decent.

based on what? I feel like the campaign is going well. not sure what the metric for Robyn is meant to be but she's not Charli. she's gay famous. let's see how Talk to Me does
 
Getting onto the Radio One playlist with Dopamine was definitely more than I expected from this era. Anyone expecting her to see actual chart action wasn’t living in the real world I fear.
 
The album should open high on first week at least though in the UK, right?
 
Dopamine is STILL Radio 1 A-list for this week going up to the 15.01
 
I love her. I like all three tracks to varying degrees. But they all sound like they could have been released 10 years ago to me, so I'm not surprised if they aren't gaining any traction with younger people at all.

I had no expectations of anything resembling a sniff of chart action, I was basing my rather throwaway comment on everyone seemingly forgetting about Dopamine 1.5 days after it came out.
 
nostalgia for ten years ago is actually pretty high among young people right now :D
 
How high do we expect streams to be for a 46 year old Swedish woman who was last in the top 40 sixteen years ago?

Dopamine is on 10m combined streams. Vey different artists, but it's about level with the new Hilary Duff single, which has had a lot more promotion from the artist, and which the gays have much more vocally taken to their hearts.

(Yes @Halli, Robyn vs Hilary Duff is the new ABBA vs Madonna)

Isn't one of the issues that you wouldn't expect a 46 year old woman who was last in the top 40 sixteen years ago to be well supported by Radio One? But Robyn is.
 
Although it has over double the streams of Church by Jade which is also A list - admittedly Dopamine was released 4 weeks before, but Church has already fallen below it in terms of daily streams.

So throw Robyn vs JADE into the mix as well.
 
Well the Radio One thing is nice, but its days of being a relevant hit driver are long past. See also their ongoing support of Jade.
