LONG OPUS



I love a meandering morning after chill Ibiza vibe. So it's hitting it for me. Not as obvious as anything on Currents (which I absolutely need to listen to as it's been a hot minute)
 
That said I've just listened to the whole thing and barely noticed it was on so it's maybe a bit TOO in that vein. I can only imagine the whole album is one big mood piece otherwise why launch with this? :D
 
oh I really loved this immediately. the outro/final part especially is spectacular.
 
I know this album is gonna change my life



all 3 singles are excellent. album out next Friday, god I can't wait

initial reactions seem MIXED and some corners of the internet are not happy that he's "changed his sound" but I'm loving it. some songs will need time to grow...

Oblivion, Piece of Heaven and Obsolete are :disco: it may be his daddy album but lyrically he sounds DEPRESSED AS FUCK
 
Dracula slaps so hard. it's also #21 in the UK this week, his first real chart hit. the album only made #4 though suggesting the mixed reviews / "going house/techno" may have lost him some REAL MUSIC fans.

The insanity of the charts. Triple platinum (UK) and quadruple platinum (US) The Less I Know The Better failed to chart in either country entirely.

Exactly... nearly 2 million 'sales' in the UK. The charts mean fuck all these days.
 
He’s also killing it with this album - all 3 singles are on 30m+ on Spotify already. The charts don’t make any sense.
 
I finally got round to listening to this and the album slaps. 2025's soundtrack to the world falling apart has been quite spectacular.
 
All I know is the remix

The song was annoying but now it is literally in my head at least three times a day
 
LOSER has been having a moment all of a sudden :disco: it had 20m streams in the last 5 days and is back into the Hot 100 at a new peak of 46. I think it was used in some show but god knows what.

thank god they made a 250 million dollar movie to promote this Tame Impala song is all I'll say on that!
