Taylor Swift - Midnights (new album out Oct. 21)

I saw a TikTok that hinted at a new song out on 9.9

Did it get Qancelled?

The latest rumor is she is waiting until the first week of October to release the lead song so everything qualifies for the 2024 Grammy's, which sounds like something she would do.

Despite speculating about her sexuality 3 seconds ago, I don't think its nice that Rolling Stone is posting an article doing that

She's revealing song titles one by one on Instagram.

Track 13: Mastermind

Why is she thinking about Vigilante Shit at midnight?

She's always thinking.

The song titles so far are actually giving me reputation vibes.

already sounds like my fave :disco: I'm calling the new DELICATE!

HA! WHAT! is it cool that I said all that? :disco:

I saw a quite compelling theory that Vigilante Shit is featuring Cyndi Lauper because Taylor was holding the phone upside down like Cyndi does in the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun video. ALSO the fact that that song's lyrics talks about "the middle of the night"

I don't really CARE EITHER WAY but I do find it all quite fun/unhinged

I mean, barring calamity, I'll be having this on release day but dripping out the tracklisting isn't sitting so well with me. Not that it needs to, I suppose but...oh, you know.

What's the issue? Not that I'm a tracklist dripping supporter but it seems uncontroversial? :o

Sometimes a tracklisting gives you a picture in your mind's eye (ear?). I know the 'folklore' tracklist did, mainly due to how many one word titles there were. When there was more than one word, the imagery was rich - "The Last Great American Dynasty'? Sign me up! By assembling it patchwork, I'm not getting the same thing. I love a good tracklisting, me.

Ah! Yes I'm with you then. I like one full blast of tracklist.

It's a shame because I was really looking forward to "My Money Don't Jiggle Jiggle, It Folds" ft Ben Folds and Eddie Money.
'Maroon' sounds a bit.. beige.

Maroon is an ugly colour AND an ugly word. these track titles are not tickling my titties in the least :D

so far Midnights is giving me reputation meets Red and evermore down Cornelia Street.

releasing quick lil singles is the standard for artists, not the music industry.
