She's lucky she commands a deranged fanbase.

Even more so than The Fate Of Ophelia... Opalite is a deeply average song elevated only by a slightly better video. Nearly every other big pop girlie has done the disco pastiche better.
 
It feels as if no else is really trying anymore with videos so i appreciate the effort. The ending is cute. I don’t think I need to watch it again though.
 
I like Opalite but it has the same problem as the rest of the album - it tells us nothing we didn't already know.
 
I think the video is cute (and the Graham Norton Show origin thing is pretty fun) and I really enjoy the song.
 
that's her best video in fucking ages. very charming. also she looks so good as a mousy brunette.
 
I found most of the album to be a dud (and I didn't really persist with it to be fair) but Opalite is a lovely pop song. She's got two big hits/keepers out of the album for me and that is fine, as much as everything else around her is quite tiresome at the moment.

an Opalite EP sounds like an amazing idea (it's literally Style on mdma!), but if she’s doing it for the #1, then releasing the EP tonight is flat-out stupid. she should have waited until the end of feb when the bad bunny superbowl hype calms down, and then released the EP. bad bunny is swallowing the charts rn.
