This has premiered to raves at Cannes with possible Oscar buzz for Gillian Anderson, playing a Norma Desmond style recluse being coaxed back to star in a reboot of a slasher franchise.

I think Jane Schoenbrun’s style is a bit too dreamy and arty for a proper The Substance style crossover but I’m very excited for this.

Everything about this is pure catnip for me, but after I Saw the TV Glow and I'm not so sure I will actually like this.

This really wasn't the film I wanted it to be, from such a great premise.

As a result I didn't especially enjoy it, but I still admired it. I did think Gillian's part could have had more to it both in writing and performance. Einbinder was just her character from Hacks but I really like her character from Hacks. And hasn't she got splendid tits?

The opening titles were my highlight. Great fun.

I liked it alot, and I liked the effort that was put into creating the fictional Miasma franchise. Gillian Anderson was fabulous and hopefully some awards come her way next year.

I watched the previous film from this director, I Saw the TV Glow, on Saturday night and was disappointed by how meandering it was. I know a lot of people loved it, but for me it squandered a great premise.

For those who've seen both, is this a similar vibe?

It’s a similar vibe yeah! More entertaining though.

I loved it! The Zoom call :D
