Glad Pliskova shook off the nerves and stood up the court a bit to play her game to go into the third set. Don’t mind who wins, maybe Barty, would be tough to lose from that position.
It was nerves at the start and she probably was having flashbacks to the Rome final. You just never know which Pliskova will show up. When the serve is off, her game crumbles as we saw in the first set. Hoping Barty takes this as she has the better all round game.
Yes, but Kristyna smashed her own chair at the end of the Pavlyuchenkova match.I missed the last setIs the umpire’s chair still in one piece?

Andrew Castle generally reminds me of my Dad when he pretends to have knowledge of something but talks about it with great authority anyway.I'm going to try Eurosport, I just can't bare the GMTV guy.

I think he is contracted to commentate for the US networks for every final.Shame that McEnroe always disappears for the final

I love it when he talks about his non-achievements in Grand Slam tennis events when he was about as decorated a tennis player as Marcus Willis was.Castle is horrendous. BBC Sport obviously don’t read their socials for feedback the amount of dislike he and Inverdale generate yet still get leads. I think Henman is pretty good.
I think the ghosts of Rio may come back to haunt him.Do we think he’ll do the Golden Slam?
Meh. It was ok.Whatever happens now, this is a great final![]()
Astonishing his two career highlights are losing 6-0 in the fifth set in the 1st round of Wimbledon to clay court specialist Wilander and the result below and this was enough to become a BBC pundit. The players who followed on from Henman and Murray must be fuming with them for doing so well and blocking their chances in media.I love it when he talks about his non-achievements in Grand Slam tennis events when he was about as decorated a tennis player as Marcus Willis was.

What’s old Jeremy Bates up to these days? At least he made the 4th round once.Astonishing his two career highlights are losing 6-0 in the fifth set in the 1st round of Wimbledon to clay court specialist Wilander and the result below and this was enough to become a BBC pundit. Not forgetting two mixed slam titles with lovely Jo Durie. He works for the LTA amongst other things. What’s old Jeremy Bates up to these days? At least he made the 4th round once.
Claiming he might not go to Tokyo because there will be no fans and COVID is a scam.Do we think he’ll do the Golden Slam?
Ridiculous decision if he doesn't go when it'll possibly be his last chance to win Olympic gold.Claiming he might not go to Tokyo because there will be no fans and COVID is a scam.
