I keeping Green Light as a potential grower though so that's 5 for 6

She sounds so good and just to echo the production is JAM PACKED and FULL OF FLAVOUR. The chorus is a bit of a departure, in the best way.

I can see Vegas High being a fan favourite but it does little for me. It's more typical Kylie than top gear Kylie. It's generic dance pop with all the usual traits. Meh. Predictable.

I might like it more on a lesser album.

It seems the best songs here really epitomize the intensity, adrenaline and fervor we invest in receiving Kylie emotions.

I'm onto Love Train and frankly this nonsense is adorable and taking a foot off the pedal at this point perfect timing. That elevating "all aboard..." (the pre-chorus one) is really anchoring this track for me.

Story is back to what this album does best, the verses are GREAT but the chorus is a bit of a letdown on first listen. Keeping it though

It's about as slow as she gets on the whole LP. It's giving me Love Affair/ Chystslise with an 80s filter.

This is doing nothing for me. Also sounds 10 years out of date in production. Wrong album, wrong era.

Love Train

4/10

And it's over. I feel nude and dead knowing I'll never experience it for the first time again. Yet Holy.

Just Imagine is OK, it has a nice build. I can't see myself sticking with this but objectively it's anthemic enough to find an audience.

Just Imagine

Somebody To Love is ten seconds in and it's already the best song on the album

30 seconds in and I'm ready to troll her record label for putting in on Side 2

Somebody To Love is EVERYTHING. The vocal is gorgeous, the production is perfect, it fits the other 80s revival songs perfectly, it feels very NOW.

It would have made the perfect album proper closer, but at least they had the good sense to put it on the album at all.

Somebody To Love

Initial thoughts.

Her best album? I'd say it probably is. It sounds so rich, complete and cohesive. It's synth heavy, full of brilliantly written pop, and she ONLY plays to her strengths.

We knew she had it in her, but she's always taken the long decorative and sometimes difficult route. The shining peak of a 35 year career.

Overall, it's already as good as DISCO, and if it overtakes that (which I think it will) it's definitely her best album BY FAR since Body Language.

Sidebar: my autoplay track when it finished was Lipstick by Charlie Puth :disco:

If it's not her best, it's her best after Fever.

She may as well retire now.
