So I take it all back. This was TOP TIER LIVE KYLIE. Minor quibbles regarding recycled remixes aside, this show proved once and for all that Kylie needs no gimmicks nor a lavish stage production to put on an outstanding show. The minimalism came across as really cool and sleek, far more than fan shot videos seem to suggest.

This honestly felt like a repositioning of her as a contemporary pop icon and none of it felt try hard in the slightest.

My seat (yes, I went alone 😥) adjacent to the B stage was amazing. I was very sheepish when she got to the audience interaction part (possibly because she ignored my screaming requests for Tightrope) and a woman NEXT TO ME (who really wasn't a big fan) was chosen as Kylie's wild rose.

Nonetheless witnessing Say Something in such close proximity bordered on a religious experience.

I kind of wish I was going again but I really can't justify the price of another ticket.

The performance of the Locomotion as she made her way to the B stage (and then back again during Real Groove) caught me off guard because it was so THRILLING. She had this god like aura about her. :o

Well she seemed rather overwhelmed even if she wasn't a big fan! I have now seen the mysterious Eddie from moopy :o

She was stood stationary for the first half of the concert and then mysteriously disappeared after her appearance on stage.

It's Alex with confusing Eurovision name but yes in row U. She was amazing and when I am.mote sober/awake I may write more about the actual concert :D

Were you talking about the girl that got pulled on stage as Kylie's wild rose? If so, I saw her being taken back stage by security when I went to the toilet after that section of the show, so assumedly she got to meet Kylie post show and/or watch the rest of the show from the side of the stage.

Anyway, what a show! Who cares if the staging was simple. This was carried with her charisma and the HITS! One of the best set lists she's ever done IMHO, only gripe being LAFS STILL as the bloody encore. It needs to be rested, or at least moved out of the encore section.

We were right next to the second stage so had an amazing close up view of her. Very glad I bought tickets for next week too as the show was so bloody joyous.
 
I would actually say she's the opposite of God-like, in a sense.

What most impressed me about this tour personally, and why I found that it worked without the need for some of the elaborate set pieces she's used before, is that it really underlines Kylie's incredible gift for authenticity.

Like, I'm sure her stage patter didn't really vary that much from night to night, but it feels like she really does make a connection with her audience, where other pop divas can often come across as quite aloof onstage (often purposefully so!). She has a warmth and sincerity, and a palpable love for what she does that I don't think you can really fake.
 
Oh I didn't mean in terms of her being approachable or not. She just absolutely radiated star quality (in the way very few stars actually manage) on the screens as she made her way across the arena floor.
 
It seems that the Golden tour version of Confide In Me is here to stay and though I adore the original, I have no problems with that. I loved the treatment it received. Proper show highlight.
 
That was my perspective. Honestly I didn't notice the (frankly rude) yappy people around me at the time.
 
Does anyone use StubHub for purchasing last minute tickets? Do they often slash prices on the day of the concert?

I've decided I want to see this again.
 
I’ve used StubHub before and gotten pretty lucky with last minute cheap tickets. People get desperate to unload their tickets for anything when it comes down to the wire

Having seen it, nothing about it strikes me as a final tour.

The classics are updated just enough for it to not feel like a greatest hits tour either. In any case I'd like to think Last Night I Dreamt I Fell In Love wouldn't make a farewell tour set list.
 
That track with Joel Corry is likely to emerge soon, isn’t it? I thought it just hadn’t worked out but he mentioned it again recently.
