I thought the reviews might be overly harsh, but it really is DEEPLY strange viewing, isn't it?

Just him sat in his underpants (WHY?) mulling over his lost youth with NO other contributors - it smacks of a vanity project that nobody talked him out of.

My 'highlight' so far is the bit where his daughter climbs into bed with him and murmurs "Who did you hate the MOST from Take That, Daddy?"

Makes it sound like some kind of spoof, but it really doesn't read that way when you watch it!

I only read a couple of bad reviews at first, but there have been good ones - 4* in both the Guardian and Independent.

I think the bad reviews I read first will probably shape my opinion of it by the time I get round to it, though - if only because it sounds like they reinforce my expectations.

I just finished this series and thought it was pretty interesting with the footage from all the way to the beginning of Take That to more current times.

I think the current day stuff of him sat in his underpants was a bit weird and the family stuff seemed very REALITY SHOW but seeing home movies of him and Guy and Geri and Nicole was pretty interesting. Granted he wasn’t huge here so a lot of that was probably well known by non-Americans.
