I barely remembered the first film from 2016, so I rewatched it last night and thought it was actually pretty good. Nothing all that special but it holds up and has a good premise. Felt very 90s.

So I saw the sequel today, which was A LOT more fun. Jon Bernthal always lifts things up and he has a way bigger part in this than the first one.

The only thing I remember from the first one is that Anna Kendrick’s character/performance was bizarre. I assume she’s not back for this one?

Yes she’s not back, but apparently they’re going to make it a trilogy and she’s listed for the third. Re-watching it was funny as casting her against 6’4” Affleck and John Lithgow, she looked like a munchkin in some scenes.
