I always thought I knew the pureness of your love
Every time you called me honey
But now the words you choose won't ever be enough
Cause what they mean will only burn me
Cause I don't wanna hear it this time
I don't wanna feel it this time
Been listening to the JOY that is Deadline For My Memories all day... Finally got into 'I Try' and LOVE 'Deadline For My Memories' and 'Still Waters' as much as EVER.
I'm just hoping some ofher stuff will pop up in my Cash Converters at some point...
I think Kristine W might JUST be better. All this talk of dance divas reminded me that 'Fly Again' has been my download discovery of the year. Was looking for some of her remixes and came across some of her newer stuff and was amazed how good it was. Both her and BRM are better served by remixes than on album form, but I didn't expect a song the calibre of 'Fly Again'. No WONDER she tops the US dance chart like there's no tomorrow. I'm not even gonna bother downloading the other mixes because I'm sure nothing will TOP Scumfrog's interpretation. They're a name you can TRUST.
Well she IS, but she isnt. You CLEARLY havent heard the album- Kristine made good throwaway pop but she "Deadline For My Memories" is a full on epic- influenced by gospel, soul, dance etc etc. "Your Loving Arms" is REALLY the only hands up in the air house moment...
I HAVE both their first albums and aren't convinced. I came to the conclusion that I prefer remixes. Maybe it just wasn't dancey enough for my tastes. The ballads on it are fine enough but I prefer BEATS. Electribe 101 remains my favourite Billie MOMENT.
I'm sure you'd LOVE KW as the album isn't disimilar - it's got an album structure like BRM and isn't all four-to-the-floor banging, more textures to it. But for me, when you're used to the Deep Dish mix of 'Land Of The Living', the stripped-down album version sounds a little LIMP
