New version of the infamous 60s stage play is out now on Netflix starring an all gay cast of sort of faves: Jim Parsons, Zachary Quinto, Matt Bomer, Andrew Rannells, Charlie Carver, Robin de Jesús, Brian Hutchison, Michael Benjamin Washington, and Tuc Watkins
I thought it was rather excellent. It's a gay party amped up to 11 making it a bitchy, funny, vicious, cruel and downright nasty affair and some of it plays very close to home. I can see why the play is loathed in some parts but I think it has a lot to say.
It's part of Ryan Murphy's production deal but I don't think he had much to do with it other than the money. It does have the Murphy golden glow look though which I'm definitely getting a little tired of.
Worth a spin though. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll hate them, you might hate yourself.
