Has anyone else put themselves through this long ass film?

The 'intermission' meant it didn't feel like an interminable slog, and I'm glad I saw it, but overall I'm quite meh. Considering the length and subject matter it doesn't feel especially epic? It focuses on quite a small part of the man's life and didn't fully make sense in what the plot includes at times, which feels odd considering it's literally ALL MADE UP.

I really liked Adrian Brody and Guy Pearce. The first half was stronger for me, I think in part because I found Felicity Jones absolutely terrible when she rocked up. That is NOT an Oscar nomination worthy performance - she's just an accent and shit wig. And was she really the best person to play a HUNGARIAN IN A WHEELCHAIR?

is it NOT GOOD? I'm really excited for this one. but I'd like it on Mubi please.

:D

she's quite a boring choice

I did not even get the POINT of the niece character even existing. You think they’re going somewhere with her, and then it time jumps and she just fucks off.

It was a SLOG to sit through, and I'm a huge Adrien Broady fan. The intermission was a welcome addition even if half the people in the audience didn't appreciate it and then sat in silence. I've sat through longer hindi films with intermissions and there was great discussion about what we've just seen.

I must say that Guy Pearce is very very good. How this got nominated for editing however, I have no idea. Obviously a super long film doesn’t have to indicate a lack of editing, but the pacing is just ALL OFF. Also I get what they were trying to portray with the random rape scene, but it was just handled very awkwardly.

I thought this was brilliant but was very glad of the Intermission.

I thought this was excellent including Felicity Jones. I thought all 3 leads were brilliant. But the intermission was beautifully placed and ideal!!
