Ooh the VENOM in those lyrics.

This is really good on first listen, you can definitely hear the Bleachers influence but it feels like an appropriately current Dixie Chicks. There's a lot of great female country at the moment but it is great to have them back.
 
I adore these ladies, and their vocals and harmonies are as glorious as ever, but this isn't doing much for me. I've heard so much better from them. Still excited to hear more new material though.
 
This is good, and feels very much like a statement of intent rather than necessarily the best song on the album. Looking forward to this.
 
Natalie Maines looks like a slightly fuller P!nk these days.

I like this (although I hate the intro). I'm well in the mood for a new Dixie Chicks album.

The first six songs in particular on Taking The Long Way are absolutely astonishing still. That album aged really well.
 
they're looking great in their new Allure profile (apparently they legally can't talk about the album as Natalie's ex is suing them over it which seems unfortunate during an album promo cycle but OK)

Well, I completely believe she's 50, but I'm glad this song is a good.

I was having a gander at their chart positions and it almost looks as if the "backlash" story that seemed to follow them like a fog didn't even happen. Or was it when they Hepburned?
 
If the 50 year old is the one in the solo photo, I'd say she easily looks it. She looks good though.

Apparently Natalie’s ex is saying it goes against the prenup they signed which included an NDA BUT he is also trying to sue her for spousal support claiming that the prenup isn’t legit. So he needs to decide really. :zsazsa:
 
She looks like a pretty, but airbrushed, 50 year old. Women can look 50 gracefully, @Jark !
 
I'll bet Muts, Keish and Shiv are feeling really stupid not just calling themselves Babes instead of BHS or whatever now.

The Chicks is a fucking AWFUL name.

And I don't understand why they are waiting until now to change it when the connotation has been known for DECADES? Don't fucking CALL YOURSELVES it in the first place.
 
Wouldn’t have been better to morph in to something like The Women. Anyway what’s done is done, hope the music is good.
 
March March is great. I like it way more than Gaslighter, which I haven't been able to love. But I'm perfectly stoked for the album if there will be experimentation like this.

Apparently the song with Boat in the title is about some awful incident between Natalie and her ex (since bitterly divorced) and it sounds guaranteed to bring some mess and drama :disco:
