The purest delight
This is based on the Smurl haunting which is by far my favourite Warrens case. If it follows the book, it could be supremely creepy. However with the return of Judy (who was not involved in the investigation) and her EastEnd boyfriend, it seems that some artistic licence will be involved. Also the flashbacks to young Ed and Lorraine look like a bridge to the upcoming Conjuring television series.
I just finished watching this one and it was much better than I expected. Obviously the films really embellish the “true story” but it works to make it more of an enjoyable watch.
I’ve really enjoyed almost all of the “Conjuring Universe” films.
