I love that the GBP has now forced every election into a competition of who can shout about forriners the loudest.

Remember when we used to talk about schools and hospitals? I’m glad we moved on from THAT!

It's not the best strategy for Reform surely?

Labour didn't win the election because the public became less racist and -phobic and unpleasant. They won specifically because the Tories spent all of their time plotting and backstabbing and being incompetent. Farage himself frequently called them out for such self-sabotaging behaviour. Why would you welcome that into your circle?
 
I'd love to know what the plan was that was 'uncovered'
 
I like the idea of Reform undoing themselves with a load of old establishment Tories, but I worry the rules of voter behavior don’t apply to Reform in the same way they don’t apply to Trump. People aren’t buying into people and policy, they’re buying into an ideal, and their ideal is less brown people, less rules, less money spent on services and more in my pocket. It doesn’t really matter what Reform does, how many go down in flames and whether they can actually deliver on promises. People just want the fascist dream.

I worry they are as unbreakable as Trump is. And history has proven that we don’t learn from America’s mistakes

You could fill up Reform with black paedophiles and gay Romanians they'd still vote Reform. They have a wide on for Farage.

If they can't depose Trump for being a literal rapist and paedophile, nothing will shift Farage. All sense of propriety and decency has gone from politics.
 
Reform will be the undoing of Reform. You can absorb all the flotsam from the failing Tories you want, they haven't actually got the ability to run a proper party.

They'll likely do well in the local elections coming up and fuck it, people will see what they really are across the country and that will be that.

I agree about Reform. I only reserve a faint glimmer of hope, compared to the US, because I do think UK voters are historically more likely to 'vote for the club' by which I mean a perception of economic competence, plus the polls put Farage behind all the others head to head (even Starmer) for who people would prefer to be PM. Trouble is the centre/left options are more numerous.
 

Shame about the typo...and slightly rich coming from the party that accepted a load of defectors under Swinson !
