The Elizabeth line

If I want to geek out on all things the tube I just watch this:

I'll add this to the list. I know that if I had lived in London, I'd have spent my teenage years visiting every station.

This is why it didn't surprise me when I read what I posted in the TV Ratings thread - that YouTube has overtaken Netflix globally in terms of viewing.

The algorithm is so fucking good at knowing exactly what I like and dangling videos in front of me. And so many of them are high quality and just as good as from other channels, or are a level of :david: that speaks so hard to me that it realistically would never be commissioned by a major channel.

As for Geoff, I've not enjoyed his recent stuff as much... a lot of it feels about twice as long as it should be. I do enjoy his awkward interviews with engineers digging tunnels and the like who never quite know what to make of him.

Clearly the Wiwi William of the transport world.

I follow quite a few different London architecture/history accounts, and have quite the list of things and places I want to visit the next time I come up and am not restricted to merely Paddington to Pudding Mill Lane.

Do you watch anonymous Jago's videos too?

I find it difficult to get to sleep in silence, so I often use YouTube to play various tranquil sounds.

I’ve just found this channel so maybe I could try this and learn something too.

I can't get to sleep in silence either. I've got a Bluetooth sleep mask and usually choose a podcast or radio show. Occasionally I'll choose a spotify sleep playlist, but usually it's trying to find something which is interesting enough to drown the inner monologue, but not so much as to be stimulating.

I've seen them testing the new Piccadilly trains through Hammersmith. Most exciting :disco:

Same. Couldn’t do without my Snoozeband!

Ooh I'll happily accept recommendations for good Bluetooth sleep masks.

A part of me would still love to go to London for about a week and spend the entire time travelling around the Underground and checking out as many stations as I can. It's always one of my highlights when I visit.
