What is so iconic about 'Saturday Night' ? Is it the vid and the hairdryer and towel or is it just because it's a pure fucking pop banger from a time gone by?

I vividly recall winning the impromptu dance competition at my Year Two school disco by going wildly off-piste, throwing myself onto the floor, and attempting to do some bizarre PROTO-BREAKING manoeuvres to this song while everyone else was doing that silly line dance or whatever it was. I probably looked like a baby Raygun, but I'm sure West Sussex had never seen anything quite like it (I don't think b-boying reached us until MANY years later).

So I will love 'Saturday Night' forever for that alone! And also the bag of penny sweets that was my prize.
