This was high camp nonsense. Brandy is a shoddy actress and delivers her lines like she's being fed through a hidden mic. Only saved by Kathryn Hunter's hilarious performance.

Thinking about how Naomi Scott in Smile 2 was probably the most convincing portrayal of a pop star, played by a non pop star. Brandy Norwood here is not really convincing as a human being.

I usually love A24 but everything I have heard about this had ranged for bad to appalling. It’s also been a massive bomb.
