Let's go!

The sheer amount of PLOT this episode! I’m shaking.

Aurora’s divorce!
Larry’s depression!
Miss Scott’s DISEASE!
The mines!
A runaway daughter!
THE CLOCK TWINK SAGA CONTINUES!
The battle of the Van Rhjin house!
RACIST DOCTORS!
Aunt Ada and the TEMPERANCE MOVEMENT!

Every time I see the chef I’m reminded of the fantastic fake accent storyline. Such joy.

Is Aurora’s husband the gay one? Did we know he was having an affair if not? Is she a main character? Has she always been a main character?

You forgot Mr. Bevan being forced to wait on a JUNIOR FOOTMAN from a SMALLER HOUSE across the street

Bloody loved all of that nonsense. Agnes is so great.

I hope BERTHA gets something a bit more meaty this series though (more than her daughter running off the Newport or whatever)

Watched up to episode 7 of series 2. Sorry, but how was that gay son able to get Maryann Thorpe's money? I am not watching this woman be poor so he had best get it back come episode 8.

The outfit that Gladys put on to do her flit :disco:
I was so gagged at this. It was like something French and Saunders would sendup to high heaven in a BBC1 Christmas special.

Really enjoyed episode 3 overall, lots going on at a nice pace. I was going to say I even knew all the names and faces but then realised I wasn’t aware of BERTHA’S new wasp eating maid.

I was positively NERVOUS at the end of episode 2 :disco:
WHAT DO WE THINK IT IS?

Series 1 or 2 it would have been the exchange of a vase or something but now we’re into HIGH STEAKS Series 3 who knows 🤷‍♂️

The shot of the pearls falling to the floor and the reaction of gormless Gladys. HIGH ART :disco:

Oh and please can they engineer a way for Agnes to get very rich again please? Enough with Ada's failing temperance regime.

The fact the will she/won’t she get engaged to the Duke plot was wrapped up in 3 episodes when I thought it would take all season! Meanwhile the clock twink plot enters episode 17 with no real progression!

It's absolutely outrageous that Miranda Ada keeps saying she's paying the servants wages in front of Maryanne Thorpe Agnes. The homo son had better get the money back soon indeed. Absolutely loving this series so far. I also want that Louella Parsons type woman told where to go.

Can we just jump to to the part where the clock twink owns a mansion on Park Avenue and is ploughing the shit out of Oscar van Rhjin?

Awwww Gladys :(

Can’t believe the wedding came and went like that considering the whole arc for Season 2 was the opera house.

I can’t help but feel the duke and his sister are scheming something up. Will it turn out he’s not a duke at all and BERTHA has just given away her daughter and half the family wealth to a farmer or something :D

Nice to see the original wasp eater back and still no one knows she used to work for them?

Reading through this thread really makes me want to give it a go! For all its silliness, I really enjoyed Downton Abbey. How does this compare in tone and execution?

i felt almost sad for Gladys during the final scene but I loved how they purposefully stripped any gravitas or dread out of such a traumatic scene so I could gayly continue my day!

If he insists on still working as a footman I swear to God.

Madness. I can't believe this is how they have decided to finally wrap it up. Surely this can't be the end of this momentous storyline, I feel almost bereft.

I'm hoping they find some excuse to keep Merritt Wever from heading straight back to Albany.

And again the situation for Agnes in the keep of Ada is QUITE UNBEARABLE. Hopefully hapless Oscar has quietly finally come good with his twelve clients.
