I was worried this might be a boring straight man film and nearly didn't go, but it was so much more than that for me. I thought it was just LOVELY.

Everyone's great in it, and I really liked seeing the characters get to grips with each other across the two and a bit hours. Maybe I should now see Alexander Payne's other films?

I've only seen this and Oppenheimer so far but would rank Giamatti a thousand miles ahead of Cillian Murphy. And also, without ever seeing Maestro, Bradley Cooper (AWFUL MAN).

I will absolutely watch this again one Christmas.

It was ok, but it felt SO FAUX AMERICAN that it failed to elicit any sort of emotional response from me.

I wanna see this. I LOVED Sideways which was also my first introduction to Sandra Oh.

This was very nice and well acted, but I was surprised how sentimental verging on corny it was.

I'd take Giamatti over Cillian Murphy for Best Actor any day though.
