I thought the cgi looked very ropy in the trailer. I still can’t get over how splitting that last book into 2 just killed any momentum the series had and it has been essentially forgotten.

That cinematography clearly no expense spared on trying to elevate this. Will be interesting to see if they can pull it off but if you're going to reboot this you have to do something special. They certainly brought the cast anyway.

Definitely. I love how it was an unstoppable franchise they even got away with releasing that 3rd movie where nothing happened and it still smashed, thank God the 4th one revindicated the whole series.

Definitely. I love how it was an unstoppable franchise they even got away with releasing that 3rd movie where nothing happened and it still smashed, thank God the 4th one revindicated the whole series.

No what I said was that their strategy backfired and essentially the split killed any cultural relevance the series had. The 4th did not vindicate it, it just went out on a whimper (first 2 made 398 and 420 million, the last 2 did 335 and 280).

This was so SLOW, it felt like a lifetime for it to get going and the payoff at the end was utterly tedious and boring, Rachel Zegler really is a buzzkill.
