I've done a search and even though it's been out for two weeks and the reactions have been overwhelmingly positive, I can't see a thread for this. Was Moopy too scarred from "Don't Worry Darling" to give Olivia Wilde's newie a go?

This was such a delight. I think a handful of characters, in one location, over the course of one evening, is when cinema speaks to me the most. Everyone was just so good. If I have to single one out, I think my favourite was Penelope, but I was also quite taken with pegging fan Ed Norton, and he was the one I was least excited by going into it.

I'd say the only thing stopping it from being a perfect 10 for me is the tonal shift towards the end. Probably needed, but I just wanted the hilarity to go on and on.

Ultimately I didn't see it because

(a) IT SHOULD BE "THE INVITATION" NOT "THE INVITE" FOR FUCK'S SAKE
(b) It looked like a sex film and I don't want to see Seth Rogen or Edward Norton undressed
(c) Don't Worry Darling was quite bad, yes

I was pleasantly surprised to see its Rotten Tomatoes score recently so no longer rule out seeing it at some point.

There is a brief moment where we see Seth Rogen's hairy bod whilst he changes shirt near the start but we don't see any skin from Edward Norton if that puts your mind at ease @Finn

I really loved it and it didn't let up once it got going. I found the ending rather sweet in comparison to what I'd just watched in the previous 90 minutes. :shy:

Saw this on a complete whim a couple weeks ago and I really enjoyed it, although I couldn't work out if the neighbours were supposed to be figments of their imagination? The part with Seth and Penelope dancing to By Your Side was extremely hot and I immediately listened to it about 10 times afterwards.

I didn't know it was a remake of a Spanish 2020 movie that was based on a book, which makes sense after I watched it.
They could have trimmed 20-25 minutes off it, though. I liked it cause it's DIFFERENT :)
